Video Game Chat / Re: Gamecube Famicom Disk System subliminal cameo
« on: February 24, 2010, 12:38:07 AM »
According to that third YouTube link, which was uploaded two weeks ago, this was discovered by a YouTuber named ShadowTheRoadhog.

I asked because, well, I think I was involved in the widespread dissemination of this, without meaning to.

Someone posted it over on the Nintendo Database forums, and I noticed it and mentioned it on NeoGAF.

The next day, it was plastered all over the blogosphere.

It was slightly scary.

I felt that this was interesting enough to make it's own topic:

The Gamecube menu ambiance music, if sped up 25x unveils the Famicom Disk System jingle.

The White Mushroom House / Wii Games: NPC Pikmin and Excite Bots
« on: February 21, 2010, 01:10:03 AM »
I have some extra copies of Excitebots and NPC Pikmin for the Wii.

If anyone wants 'em, let me know.  Make a decent offer and I'll consider it - I was sort of assuming about $20 for either, given that they are new.

Forum Games / Re: Why the person above you should be banned.

Logically, posting in this thread means you have tacitly agreed that you SHOULD be banned, given that once your post is "above" someone else's, you have agreed that you should be banned.

Time to start the banning fires.

(Note that this logic doesn't apply towards me, given that I am capable of handing OUT bans.)

Man, that's a relief. Sensible punishment makes the fungus considerably more trustworthy.

I take it I'm the only one to do temporary bans, or something? Hmm...

In all fairness, I'm the one who posted the picture.

Well, if you want, I could ban YOU for a week.

If anything improper is somewhere, go fix it!  I don't like coming to these forums any more than anyone else...

In case you were worried, Glorb is back in two days.

Heck, he could be reading this post as we speak. I only banned him for a week.

Glorb's Custom Title has me worried... How long has it been like that?

Glorb was temporarily banned. He should be back in two days, and (at that point) I may change his tag back.

Mario Chat / Re: SMB3 VS. SMW

Not to be a jerk or anything, but it's pretty much common sense that a game with better graphics contributes to make the game better, but does not make games with worse graphics any worse worse. Would you rather play SMB3 in 8-bit or 16-bit? I want a legitimate reason if you say 8-bit.

Good 8-bit graphics > Bad 16-bit graphics.

SMB3 looks better than SMAS SMB3.

(although SMB2 looks worse than SMAS SMB2)

Since when do you talk in third person? Maybe penguinwizard hasn't been paying attention.

penguinwizard's reminded of the people who think Super Mario 64 is inferior to earlier Mario titles.

It -IS- inferior to SMB3 and Yoshi's Island.

I'm saddened by the lack of taste in the forums... how can the inferior SMW have more votes than the far superior Super Mario Bros. 3?

Indeed, you are right... all three of those games demonstrate why SMB3 was greater than and and all of them... ESPECIALLY Super Mario World.
