I recently bought Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for Gamecube, and I read in Nintendo Power about getting ducks. According to them, once you get the Pond on your farm and have 6 or less chickens, a pair of ducks will eventually appear.
However...
I purchased a pond in the first Spring, and I just finished up the first year and got married. Does anyone know how long it takes for the ducks to appear? Am I doing something wrong?
