it classifies as an animal!

I meant what classification of animal, like a rodent or something.

If I were Eggman, I would still call Sonic a rodent, though, to tick him off.

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant to do (make fun of Sonic). It was inspired by Erarzor from SatSR, where he calls Sonic a rat (like megamush pointed out).

Plus, I have no idea what to classify a Hedgehog as.

@ SolidShroom: Yes, the soundtrack was indeed fantastic (almost better then Galaxy, as I said in my first post), but there are a couple of things that I should argue.

- Voice acting, as said, wasn't good at all. Yet you said it was better then Resident Evil. Which one? The 1996 PSX version (also DS)? It's pretty common knowledge that it had horrid voice acting, but I seriously wouldn't compare JoD's acting to RE. JoD's voice acting is in an entire league of it's own. Nights' voice sounds like a young Mary Poppins, Will goes out of his British accent on and off, Helen can hardly be heard in some cutscenes and Reala's voice actor tries to hard to make him sound serious. Wizeman was the best voice in the entire game in my opinion.

- The graphics and art direction are strong points, but when viewed up close, you can see a severe lack of polish. The children look like humanoid robots in about every cutscene that isn't FMV. In fact, it looks on par as a Dreamcast game. However, the Chase Missions really make the art direction stand out.

- Speaking of the chase missions, they are addicting, but lack something Nights Into Dream's Ideya Capture had: the choice to keep repeating the same lap until time runs out or you reach the Nights Capture with the Ideya you released on that lap. JoD's chase missions makes you chase a bird enemy for each three laps, and while you still try to improve your Link (combo) count, all you do is just try to go to the goal as fast as you can. Watch some Score Attack videos on Youtube for NiD and see what I mean.

- Using the classic controller makes it easier to control, but Nights flying is rough. The Saturn control had a control stick that didn't have a octagonal surrounding like the CC/GCN control, so flying isn't as smooth. (Yet I found the CC better the GCN control.)

I will give my opinion on story and the My Dream later.

The Cutscenes may have bad voice acting, but that's the beauty of it. I like to make fun of the cutscenes: it adds a whole new layer of interactivity to the experience. I guess that's what they meant about "interactive cutscenes". You can't help but chuckle at "DOO-A-LYYYYYYYYE-ZUH"

I can look over the crappy human models as long as it has good artwork, unlike a certain game on 360 released by Sega featuring a blue rodent...

To me, that's already a pretty good game design. I don't really see the point in flying around if there's still a time limit going, especially if you recieve for how much time you have left. Then again, I've never played the original nights...

Okay, I'll give you that one. But I could overlook it once I played the game longer.

While the game did lack polish, it's still a fun game. Could've been better, but considering Sega's recent preformance in terms of game quality, anything above mediocre is a step in the right direction.

Never played the CD-i Zeldas, but I've read they were terrible.  I may check on the internet

Actually, I found a site that defends the games and sheds a little more light on them.

Quite interesting actually. If I had a CD-i & three button wired controller, I'd give it a shot.

Luke Skywalker?

Bowser: Toadsworth never told you what happened to your father.

Mario: He-a told me enough... he told-a me you killed him!

Bowser: No, Mario. I am your father

Mario: NOOOOOO!

Wario: And I-ma you brother!

Mario: DOUBLE NOOOOOO!

Peach: And I'm your sister!

Mario: So?

Peach: That means we can't date anymore.

Mario: SUPER NOOOOOO!

Yoshi: And I'm Aunt's daughter's roommate's brother's step-son from the future!

Mario: THIS IS GETTING REDUNDENT!

Waluigi: And I have absolutly no relationship with your family's genealogy whatsoever!

Mario: Okaaaaay...

Seriously, this piece is rather chuckle worthy. Though, I can't blame the kids for think Luigi is Mario's older brother. That's usually the first impression someone would get (the taller brother is the older one).

Video Game Chat / Re: White Gloves!

My personal theory is that Mario and Sonic are terminators from the future sent to lay the foundation for the Robot uprising. While they were being manufactured, the factory ran out of skin material, so they covered their hands with gloves, instead.

How else do you think Sonic runs that fast, and Mario can jump that high?

In all seriousness, I think it adds personality to the character's looks, making them look more cartoony, like Mickey Mouse.

Just where did that image come from, anyhow ? (and most importantly, who drew it?)

maybe there is a glitch or cheat that lets you do that!

I highly doubt that. Besides, it would be too easy if they directly took you to stars (no challenge would be involved). I was wondering why making Mario through the levels make sense in the context of the story.

Hey, I was wondering something a couple days ago...

If the Comet Observatory can be used to rocket Mario to Levels, then why don't they just rocket him to specific points in the levels, like directly to the stars? Case in point: the Bowser stages. Why do they place him at the beginning of an obstacle course? Can't they just rocket him directly to Bowser? And I know it is possible for the observatory to rocket him to specific points in a galaxy, such as the fast-foe star on that beach level In that star, rather then place Mario on the usual starting point on the beach, they just take him to the stone structure in the sky with the thwomps and toy boxes.

From what I can vaugely remember of the game from about a couple years back, I liked Waluigi Pinball and Bowser's Castle for their music, and Shroom Ridge was just so happy and bright and cheery that it gave me a good feeling inside.

And I think that Bowser may really be the clumsy idiot we see him as in the RPGS. When he goes to kidnap the princess or when Mario shows up to rescue the princess, he puts on the viscious tyrant act.

Actually, I can remember some other times where he met with Mario and acted like a clumsy idiot. For example, in SM64, when you first fight him in the Dark World, he blatantly tells you his weakpoint is to grab him by the tail and throw him into a bomb. How moronic is that?

Haven't you ever played the mini-games in Super Mario 64 DS or New Super Mario Bros. before? Luigi's mini-games are all casino themed and that's the outfit he wears.

Oh... right, the tux. Thank you!
