Can't help but notice that the current social/political climate is pretty ****ing grim and divisive. Everybody's at each-other's throats at all times, and it seems like people are moving further towards polarization. I think that, even given TMK's generally meager forum population as of late, this is why this sub-board hasn't been posted in since late 2016. Do other people find this significantly worrying, or is this just a rough patch that'll die down when Trump and his similar right-wing populist movements fade?

Australia has had a similar thing with our PM just changing the other day out of the blue and our home affairs minister resigning. It's just a patch that they are going through but it'll last a while.
