Learn the names:
1.)It's called a Cloaking Device, not an Invisibilty Shroud.
2.) It's called a Motion-Sensor Bomb
3.) It's called a Beam Sword.

Ness is not very futuristic at all. Proximity Mine is the name of the Motion-Sensor Bomb in the Japanese SSBM.

Yes but we don't live in Japan. Anywho, I agree. Ness isn't very futuristic. He just has psychic powers. THose have been around since Medieval times. Nothing futuristic about him. He uses Psychokinetic (PK) energy and a baseball bat.

I have PAL SSBM and it shows "Motion Sensor Bomb" as Proximity Mine. Its from Perfect Dark if you haven't noticed.

I repeat: I'm talking about the American Version. Not the Japanese or PAL Version. And yes I know it's form Perfect Dark.

Is it that important?
Besides, I like the name "invisibility shroud."

Anyway...

Pokéball catch
Players: 2
Special Melee: none
Stock: 1 life
Items: low-medium, only Pokéballs
Stage: Final destination
Characters: Anyone
Special rules:  One character picks up a Pokéball and throws it straight up into the air.  The second player must catch it (with the Z button) before it hits the ground.  The second player then throws it straight up, etc. until the ball is dropped.  The catching player must then suffer the full brunt of the resulting Pokémon.  That player then picks up the next Pokéball.  (For higher difficulty, try throwing the ball across the stage.)

Spectators
Players: 4 (2 teams of 2)
Special Melee: none
Stock: 1
Items: medium-high, all items
Characters: each team has the same character set-up, with one fighting character and one support character with range attacks (e.g. Pichu/Link, Mario/Peach)
Handicap:  The fighting characters have a handicap of 9, the support characters have 1
Stage: Subcon
Special rules: The two fighting characters must attack each other in the playing field in the middle, while the support characters stay on the opposite ledges.  The support characters may only throw items into the central fray, but not participate unless their teammate's gone.

Eating contest
Players: 2
Speacial Melee:  Super Sudden Death
Damage Ratio: .5
Time: 1 minute
Items: High, only food/party ball
Stage: Anywhere
Characters:  gluttonous characters, such as Yoshi, Kirby, or maybe Mario
Special rules:  The goal is not to kill each other, but to eat as much food as you can.  The winner will be determined afterwards by comparing "Damage recovered" statistics.

Haha that eating contest is very clever. I made a new one...

Mountain Mayhem

Special Melee: Tiny Melee
Items: Tiny Mushrooms and add up to 3 other items if you wish.
Stage: Icicle Mountain
Characters: Anything Goes
Damage Ratio: 2.0
Handicap: None
Stock: 5

Basically just try to attack your incredibly small enemies, while staying alive yourself by escaping the moving screen.

Not fun Melee

players: 2-4
characters: Jigglypuff only
Items: none
stage: battlefeild
stock: 1
Only use up+b, no jumping If you use anything but up+b you're out. This isnt any fun, so don't try it.

Or is it?... *shifts eyes supiciously*
Let me away from this boulder!

*sigh* Another waste of a post by our own Birdo...

Of course. You have to expect nothing but idiocy from none other than the not-so-great Birdo.
