I'm not sure, but has anyone ever devised a Mario species diversons, like Phylums and Kingdoms? There are so many creatures, I am sure it is possible.

I'm sure no one really thinks about that when playing the game. Although I suppose the Toads could be placed under whatever kingdom fungus belongs to. And so on and so on for the rest of the animals (Koopas, etc.).

Oh, wow, it's been a while since I studied the Phylums and Kingdoms.  Heck I've never even thought about dividing the species of the Marioverse into this kinda thing.

Mushroom people and Goombas would be under similar classifications, since they are both mushrooms (or mushroom related, anyway).

Hmm.. "Mushroom Person".. "Homo-erectus" (or something like that) was the name for the first creatures resemlbing human beings, so "Homo-*whatever the root word is for mushroom*" could be the name for the Mushroom People.

Actyually, it was Homoerectus sapiens. So maby, Homoerectus Mushroomius, meaning Guy who can stand up right and looks all mushroomy.

No, Toad was correct, it was Homo erectus.

Mycologists are people who study mushrooms, I believe, so if somebody were a mushroom person, then wouldn't Homo-Mycolo work?

That totally makes no sense. Especially because you chopped off the first half of the prefix "-logist."
That was a joke.

It's quite simple, really; just make stuff up!
Homo Sapien, ex. Mario, Princess Peach. goes without saying.
Koopus Troopus, ex. Kooper, Koops
Koopus Paratroopus, ex. Parakarry
Koopus Monstrous, Bowser
Yoshus Awesomus, Yoshi
Shyus Guyus
Recurricus Unwantus: Petey Piranha
Charactus Non-canonicus, Plum

All your dreeeeeeams begiiin to shatterrrrrr~
It's YOUR problem!

"sapiens" is not plural. "sapien" does not exist.
And uh, yeah making everything second declension male or fourth declension male/female is pretty lame.
That was a joke.
