Best: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. A complete new partner who can steal badges and sniff for treasure? Yes yes.

Worst: Sunshine. Secret of the Bloody Kitchen was the only good one. No real vote.

Also, your vote for SMB2 isn't right. You mean SMA.

Tough choice. SMB3's secrets are the stuff of legends, but SMW has at least 16 whole levels hidden away, by my count, and makes great use of the map screen. Even just the fact that levels have multiple exits is pretty mind-blowing. And there's probably going to be more people voting for SMB3 than SMW, so I'll vote for the underdog.

BEST: SMW

WORST: Super Mario Advance. Especially when compared to Super Mario Bros. Deluxe.

BEST: Probably Super Mario RPG, on account of it was made by JRPG-master Square, so there was about a dozen super-powerful or pointless items either hidden in places you would never look or only obtainable after [ridiculously hard challenge] a bazillion times. That makes it sound like worst secrets, but I'm judging it on the quality of the secrets, not how much I enjoyed getting them. But when it comes to enjoyable secrets, M&L FTW.

WORST: M&L:PiT. Seeing such an obscenely linear game attempt to live up the the secrets of its predecessor was, well, sad.

Best: SMBDX. M&L:SS gets a close second.

Worst: SMA. Likewise, PiT gets a close second.

BEST: I'm gonna say SMW; the amount of secrets (levels, Peach coins, alternate colors/enemies) at least doubled the replay value.

WORST: SM64.  What with all these "unlock Luigi" hoaxes everywhere, it's become something of a black sheep as far as secret elements go.  Although, the speculation and fake cheats aren't really Nintendo's fault, so I'm wondering whether they're grounds to vote for this game as worst.

If not, then chalk me up to "no vote" for this round.

Best: Super Mario Sunshine. I'm gonna go ahead and vote for those 'secrets' that aren't really secrets at all. Those bonus levels, if you will, were just about the coolest thing in that game. Just plain old platformer awesomeness.

Worst: Also Super Mario Sunshine. You know those 'secret' stages I just lauded? Yeah, I'm missing a few controllers on account of them.

Best: Super Mario Kart. Very few people remember the Little Code (do codes count as secrets? If not, I can change my vote..) Runner up: Super Mario Galaxy. Playing as Luigi was a good secret.

Worst: Super Mario Advance. A non-interactive Red Yoshi on the title screen is no fun. Being able to use Yoshi (or have characters ride him) would have been fun, but no.. Honorable worst mention to Super Mario Galaxy: yes, I like to play as Luigi, but that doesn't mean I want to play the entire game again in order to unlock one more area that wasn't even that good (don't get me wrong: the Star Festival was great, but not being able to get inside Mushroom Castle?! That was just plain mean of Nintendo. A couple of courses from SM64 redone so that we could visit them would have been ok..)
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Best: Paper Mario TTYD.

Worst: Super Mario Galaxy (for having to play the whole game again as Luigi).

Nominate: Best/Worst 3D game.

Best: Super Paper Mario (there was a lot to find and discover: a whole other hub, two Pits of 100 Trials, three optional allies...)

Worst: Super Mario Galaxy (the whole "WEEGEE'S A HIDDEN CHARACTER!!!!111" thing is getting old.)

Best: Luigi in Super Mario Galaxy and Return Postage Badge in PM:TTYD.

Worst: Yoshi in SM64. I hated that. After getting 120 stars, a bunch of extra lives is pretty useless.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

Best: SMW because of Multi-colored Yoshis and fairly challenging extra levels.

Worst:  MK64, there is only one secret, no hidden characters, no hidden tracks, and maybe a few funky glitches...

Victory... is my destiny!

I'll put my worst vote as Galaxy also. I hate playing as Slipperigi. I just beat the game as him yesterday but I still have to get sixty more stars before I unlock the Grand Finale Galaxy. "It's not worth it BP it's just Toad Town with purple coins" Yes I know and that is what I want.

Edit: Now, if Yoshi were playable too and functioned like in Super Mario 64 DS, Galaxy would be on my best vote instead...
