It's an unspoken in-joke of sorts among my friends (but usually friends's friends) to spontanously and dramatically sing "Don't Stop Believin'". I suspect it's that way with most people.

That's a pretty good song to sing spontaneously and dramatically. Second only, of course, to Never Gonna Give You Up.

True, but that one's pretty much a universal joke.

I'm most partial to irking friends and/or random passers-by with a rousing rendition of Tiny Tim's 1968 classic, "Tiptoe Through the Tulips".

Tears for Fears
"Mad World"
The Hurting

I think I like this one better than Gary Jules's cover, if only because it's less cliched.

This may seem out-of-the-blue, but how would you describe the Grateful Dead's music, Rao? Most fellow classic rockers seem to acclaim them, although I've never heard a single song of theirs. Anyways,

Sounds great. The new "we're no strangers to love" shall be "WE CAN DANCE IF WE WANT TO". Such is decreed.
