I'm back at WSU, and not surprisingly, I forgot a few things. My laptop cooler power cable, my camera, my mouse-wrist-rest, ink cartridges, and perhaps more.

But I'm HOPEFUL because I didn't forget to bring the snail-mail ping MaxVance sent me ages ago!

UPDATE: Found my camera.

I'm leaving for college for the first time tomorrow.  I also just solved the NPR puzzler, which involved US state postal abbreviations.

I went to a shooting range today and fired 150 rounds from a .38 Colt Diamondback revolver. It was a lot of fun.

I also leave for college in 3 days. I'm very excited and, oddly enough, I have two roommates instead of three.

I've always wanted to fire a gun, just to see what it's like. Preferably something that won't snap my puny wrists with its recoil.

Yeah, mine had some snap, but after a few shots I got used to it. The recoil on a .38 is not nearly as bad as the recoil on a .50.

There was a kid shooting next to me and a lot of his shells went down my shirt when they popped out from his gun. That wasn't fun. :(

I have my DS back (and games)!

My sister has moved back in with my parents for at least 4 months (until December), and apparently went to see our aunt on her way in to see us. My aunt gave her the DS to deliver to me. Hooray!! I got sort of freaked out when I checked all my games and saw that there was an extra save file in most of them, but then I remembered that it was probably my new uncle's son. He played the DS a bit while we were up there to get him (mostly when I wasn't playing, but anyway..)
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

The new Heavy update for TF2 is out, bringing you one of the greatest things ever.

You should also see the new "Meet the Sandvich" video that debuted with it.

Yup. Sandvich is the first Heavy unlockable, replacing the shotgun. You eat it for 120 health, and youy have an unlimuited supply. Unfotunately, you're immobile for 4 seconds, making loud, happy, chewing noises. But hey. It's a SANDVICH.

The accompanying "Meet the Sandvich" video was a nice touch. I just love the diagram, though! NEW! MEAT!

I wonder if people are going to refer to it by its proper title "Sandvich" or just call it a Sandwich.
