To your sig:

Waluigi is not Foreman Spike. The whole "Wrecking Crew connection" is just an attempt to legitamize him since he's never served a real important role.

The concept is simple. You create your own kind of plumber, whether a boy or girl, man or woman, human, or , even, Toad, and other species. You then are cast into the world of The Mushroom Kingdom, of which Bowser has been overthrown as the king of Darkness and has been replaced by:
Un-Mario, the complete oppisite of Mario. He creates humanoid robots which are stronger than most Mario enimies, and Mario and Luigi can't fight it alone.
You ahve four choices:

Join the ranks of Mario and Luigi to defeat Un-Mario
Join Un-Mario for Total World Dominance and Defeat The Mario Brothers
Join Bowser To Defeat un-Mario AND The mushroom kingdom to join the leauge of Bad Guys
Join Peach's defense army and defeat the onslaught of humaniods.

The service would be free, and would be the mix of Matrix Online and World of Warcraft. The entire game is gamer-controlled. You can choose what should happen depending on what side you choose and what your sides actions of become. Guild wars and side wars happen daily, and backstabs are normal.

There are many classes:
Super Plumbers: The Mario Lookalikes, which you can wear overalls, t-shirts, etc. Totally customizable.
Humaniods: The Un-mario's army
Koopa and Crooked Humans: Bowser's People
Toads: Peach's forces

The main characters:
Mario, Luigi, Peach, Un-Mario, and Bowser are totally controlled by a admin, and they lsiten to their whole side for what they should do next.

ALso, you can meet special NPC's, such as Donkey Kong, who gives you power bannanas which boost your level, Link, who resides in Hyrule, and you go there using a machine. Also, Samus and Fox are found, which you go there using a rocket ship.
A couple of things I don't like about this idea:
1. Un-Mario? We already have Wario & Shadow Mario, 1 of which we haven't battled since his debut, the other we haven't fought at all. This guy is very unnessasary.
2. Too many humans. I don't like having a lot of human characters in Mario games, it takes away from the uniqueness of the world. Why not an army of mechinized goombas & other Mario enemy types? Majority players are human plumbers & there are humans in Bowser's forces? Please no, that's not Mario at all!

I think a Mario MMO is a bad idea. Mario is the antithesis to boring level grinds, non-twitch-based combat, and complicated game systems and UI. It wouldn't feel right, and I'm not sure how one could make a successful MMO without this stuff. They're based on time commitment and feeling a sense of accomplishment for what you've done, as well as camaraderie with other people in the game. This style of play would seem very strange in a Mario skin.
Big misconnception there. Just because it's a MMO doesn't mean it's has to be an RPG. Planetside for example is a MMOFPS, you don't level grind, you just join one army of players & blast the **** out of the other army. Auto Assault is a MMO take on vehicular combat. In theory you could make an MMO out of any genre, so yeah a Mario MMO can in fact work as long as it's not an MMORPG.

Quote
My simple ideas:

Mario Wrestling
It better have Captain Lou Albino reprising the role of Mario!

Quote
I had a similar idea for a Mario & Luigi 3. The 2nd one had Mario,Luigi,Baby Mario and Baby Luigi, right? Well, the third one would have Wario and Waluigi! Imagine a quartet like that on an epic adventure!
Wario & Waluigi really should've been bosses in the 1st M&L.

Quote
Space Madness: this is a game where Prof E. gadd sends mario and the group to the moon for space rocks. but Peach is kidnapped by bowser!! Now the gang must go through 16 levels named after some thing in space. Use attacks like zeroG-jump and acid balls to KO the bad guys. Also use items like lazer swords and jet-packs!But watch out for the Gigglelastic Girls from Georgetown,Guyana, there always girlie-fying your quest! Also watch out if you get hit on the glass dome to much it might break and you will die. ESRB Rating:E10, not alot of violence.
A Mario game set in space? Nope, never gonna happen! No way Nintendo would ever consider such an insane idea! >_> <_<

Quote
I'm thinking a Mario game on the gameplay spectrum of Sonic Adventure. The general game would be like SM64, with an overworld and stars to collect, but there'd be multiple playable characters with different gameplay characteristics. There could also be an epic storyline and a few RPG elements sprinkled about. Coolkid posted something like this a page or two back, but his wasn't very well thought out.

Frankly I'm surprised this hasn't already happened, it makes an aweful lot of sense!

Anyway, my own idea

Game: Mario Battle
System: Wii
Genre: Real Time Strategy
Players: 1-2 offline, up to 4 online (4 players offline would crowd the screen with too much HUDs)
Rating: E10+

Controls: Moving the Wii controller simulates moving a mouse on a PC RTS, with the A/B buttons working as the left & right mouse buttons. The D-pad is used to group selected units into teams. The start button brings up the pause menu (save game, quit game, adjust brightness [as if that ever makes a difference], etc.). The select button brings up a C&C-like menu of units & structures you can build. The a/b & Home buttons don’t do anything as of yet.

The nunchuck attachment is used to control the commander character. The commander is a special unit who is basically who you are playing as in the game. Controls for the commander resemble that of standard platformer controls (am I using that word too much?). Moving the stick in any given direction moves the character, Z1 makes him jump & Z2 makes him attack. Physical movement of the nunchuck moves the camera (not just scrolling across the field but also zooming in/out & changing angles).

More on the Commander Units: The death of the commander will result in game over, however he provides boosts in stats to nearby units & is a powerhouse in his own right so you may want to take him into battle at times. There are at least 3 commanders to play as for each faction. At the start of a mission or multiplayer game, you select which 1 you want to play as. On some maps the other commanders may be found hidden somewhere, if you find them, you can choose to play as them instead of your starting character by walking up to them & pressing Z1. Mind you, neither of them can be allowed to perish & your only controlling 1 at a time, so there’s an increased risk of losing.

Gold coins: Gold coins are the only resource (well, other than people’s lives) to worry about in the game. Any unit may grab them & they’ll instantly be added to your stockpile without having to ferry the unit back to base. With base/unit building taking the Command & Conquer approach, this eliminates the need for worker types & hopefully keeps the games at a fast pace. Keeping in tradition with past Mario games (or Total Annihilation & Warcraft3, take your pick), coins will pop out of fallen units & may be picked up by anyone.

Power ups: Commanders can find items in ? blocks that’ll help them out.
10 coins: Self-Explanatory.
Super Mushroom: Doubles all their stats except speed & HP (the later is only increased by 50%)
Star Man: Makes them invulnerable for a short time.
Fire Flower: Gives those that don’t have a ranged attack a new fire blast technique.
Cape: Gives flight to those that don’t already fly.
1-up: Rare chance of appearing. Will resurrect a commander if he dies later on.

Civilians: In most campaign missions & a third of the multiplayer maps are local towns for at least 1 of the involved sides. If there’s a village on your side, then it’s kinda your civil duty to protect them. Civilians do have ways of repaying you for helping them out.
Adult male: Might take up arms against anyone attacking his home, but goes back to a normal life when the attacks over.
Adult female: May give stat boosting or HP restoring baked goods to the troops.
Child: Mostly helpless.
Town mayor: May donate a large sum of coins to you on behalf of the village.
Royal guards: only in mission featuring castles. They’re elite troops dedicated to protecting their keep & their ruler.
Houses: The dwellings of the locals. The frighten will bunker up in these.
Hospital: Will always offer complete medical aide to any hurt infantry units (including the commanders).
Bank: Destroy the enemy’s bank to steal a lot of coins.
Jail: Destroying the enemy’s will set free a small number of basic infantry & possibly a commander (don’t ask how they got there to begin with).

Those last 2 buildings open up possibilities in what strategies you can use. Go for a big assault on the enemy’s town maybe you’ll destroy enough of it to cause mission failure for him or use small strategic strikes to gain resources that’ll help in your long-term plans.

Faction#1-Mushroom Militia
Story: For centuries, the Toads have prided themselves on their peaceful ways. But for years now, they’ve faced many attacks from the likes of Bowser & his Koopa Troop. The kingdom became split on the issue of whether or not to go against their pacifist ways. Just recently, a compromised has been reached by opposing parties. A strictly defensive militia will be organized but only in times of dire need. However, the toads would be calling upon the militia much sooner than they expected.

Population limit: 50
Pros:
-Best ground units
-Strongest commanders (they got Mario on their side afterall!).
Cons:
-Worst air units.
-Low population limit.
-1 commander is available only on specific maps.
Commanders:
-Captain Jon T. A toad hailing from Rose Town. He was the captain (& only member aside from his yoshi) of the town’s police force. He gives a major boost in the defense stat to allied units he’s close to.
-Mario. The famous hero doesn’t show up until a few missions into the MM campaign. He gives an attack boost.
-Luigi. Gives an increase in the rate of attack to his comrades, effectively accomplishing the same thing as Mario but in a different way (as it should be with the bros.)
-Sky Pop Mario: Available only in Sky based maps, He gives boosts to all stats but only to air units.
Note worthy NPCs:
-Chief Toadser, a noble who has overall command of the Militia. He’s the most vocal of those in favor of aggression towards the Koopas.
-Peach. Yes, she’s going to get kidnapped, what else is new.

Units
As a new force their numbers are relatively low but they got some decent technolodgy backing from E. Gadd.
Infantry
Toad Trooper-Basic soldier. Armed with a hand sized pipe containing a miniture Venus Fire Trap.
Toadette Nurse-An on-field medic. Can only heal infantry & has a long cooldown time between heals.
Heavy Fire Toad-Carries a larger Venus Fire Trap. Can target air & sea units.
Yoshi Rider-Faster infantry unit that can attack two units at once by slurping up one & spitting it at the other (neither is insantly killed that would be too cheap). Can be upgraded to swallow an enemy instead & throw the resulting egg at the second.
Ground vehicles
Toad Tank-Based on MP5's super duel mode vehicles. A strong & sturdy ground unit.
Kart Racer-A highspeed "spellcaster". It's "spells" include Lighting Bolt (shrinks enemy commanders), Ghost (turns invisible) & Triple shell (limited shield). Can be upgraded to carry a single infantry unit. The fastest unit in the game.
Cannon Pipe-Very large Venus Fire Trap pulled by a team of Yoshis. Has a long attack range.
Air
Caped Toad-Flying Toad with a melee attack to other air units. Can crash into the ground, stunning nearby ground units.
Bi Plane-Based on SML's Sky Pop. A weak but cheap fightercraft.
Passanger Plane-Based on Peach's ride in SMS. A commercial plane hastly drafted imto service. Can carry a few infantry.
Sea
Frog Toad-Swimmer. Attacks with a hammer (melee).
Minisub-Based on SML's Sea Pop. Can submerge itself.
Ferry-Sea transport. Can be upgraded have self defense cannons.
Battle Boat- Medium sized ship built for combat.
Structures
Milita HQ-Centrual building needed to construct other buildings.
Boot Camp-Source of infantry.
Gadd Labs-Source of upgrades.
Auto Shop-Source of vehicles.
Airstrip-Source of air units. Can be upgraded to be built on water (as seen in SMS).
Water Cannons-Based on SM64's cannons. Cause splash damage to enemy groups (no pun intended). Can be upgraded to transport infantry across great distances.
Fences-Based on SM64's fencing. Can block off ground units. Has a thorned vine upgrade.

Faction #2 Koopa Troop
Story: Bowser didn’t take too well to hearing the news about the MM. Fearing that they might make global domination too difficult for him, he plans to dismantle them before they become too large & powerful. He also wants payback against the 4KA (see faction #3) for their treason.
Pop limit: 100
Pros:
-Best sea units.
-Highest pop limit.
-Lots of cheap units.
-Most powerful base defenses.
Cons:
-Weakest ground units.
-Overly complex tech tree which slows down the possibility of early game rushes.
-Inferior commanders.
Commanders:
-Bowser Jr./Shadow Mario. He’s Jr. in the cut scenes, Shadow Mario during gameplay. Makes other units move faster.
-Bowser. Big Daddy himself. Gives average boosts to both attack & defense.
-Kammy. Doesn't boost own troops causes stat decreases int the enemy.
NPCs:-The other Koopalings. They mainly serve as bosses to the other 2 factions.

Units
Infantry
Koopa Troopa-Expendable cannon fodder. No range attacks. But oh so cheap.
Hammer Bros.-Slightly stronger ranged unit.
Magikoopa-Most expensive infantry. Has a ranged magic attack & a few spells including Dark Shield (creates a bubble around a group of allies) & Mind Control (self explainatory). Needs to be upgraded to learn each spell.
Armor
Wooden Tank-Based on SMB3's tank level. Very flimsy vehicle but is cheap & quicker to make.
Air
Lakitu-Bombards ground units with spiny eggs. Upgrades allow the eggs to hatch (which add to the pop limit).
Jet Fighter-Based on small airships level from SMB3. Has Rocky Wrenches as default weapons but can be upgraded to cannon balls.
Airships-Based on the Koopalings rides. Pretty dominate aircraft, second only to the 4KA's cruisers. Can be upgraded to carry any other KT unit except sea units.
Sea
Battleship-Based on SMB3's naval ship level. Most powerful force on the ocean.
Cheep Cheep-Swift melee sea creature. Can upgraded to attack air units.
Submarine-Based on Bowser's mysterious sub from SM64. A submerged unit with a very long range.
Structures
Koopa Keep-KT HQ.
Fortress-Source of Koopa Troopas & Hammer Bros. Hammer Bros. need to be researched first.
Magi Fortress-Source of Magikoopas & their upgrades.
Mega Fortress-Source of Wood Tanks.
Cloudy Fortress-Source of air units. Most need to be researched first.
Aqua Fortress-Source of sea units. Most need to be researched first.
Troop Trainer-Extension added to side of Fortress. Source of upgrades for units besides the Magis
Base Building-Extension to Koopa Keep. Source of structure upgrades. Needs to be built for advanced fortress types.
Pirahna Plant-Bites at nearby enemies. More effective against infantry than vehicles.
Bullet Bill-Ranged defensive structure that useless against nearby enemies. More effective against vehicles than infantry.
Tornado Ted-Underwater Bullet Bill. Must be researched first.
Warp Pipes-Used to create instant pathways between two points on the map. Must be researched first.

^ Now THAT is a game idea!! Good job!! And I appreciate your comment about my Sonic Adventure-styled Mario game idea. Maybe I should get around to posting it in it's entirety like you did.

Here is my game idea.If you ask me,my idea kind of looks like a fan fic.

Title = Mario & Luigi:The Fall of The Mushroom Kingdom
Category:RPG
Heroes:Mario,Luigi,Bowser and Kamek.
Villains:Wart and Tatanga.

This game is a prequel.

Plot line:Wart, having been booted out of subcon by Mario & co. attempts to make a comeback and get his revenge.Wart wants to build his own dream machine. So het gets to work.Wart finally completes his machine. He turns it on and attempts to test it.......but it goes terribly wrong. The machine explodes and knocks Wart out.Meanwhile,Tatanga had just been defeated by Mario for the second time(SML2).Tatanga later finds a torn front page of a newspaper. The headline reads "MARIO DEFEATS TATANGA AGAIN!".Tatanga, filled with rage tosses the page aside and storms off to think of a new plan.Tatanga sits down on a rock, thinking out loud.Wart, who happened to be sitting nearby overhears Tatanga.Wart interrupts Tatanga.Tatanga then attacks Wart in a fit of rage.Wart defeats Tatanga soundly.Wart eventually explains the whole situation. The 2 finally agree to team up and do assault the Mushroom Kingdom. The 2 of them build a large, magical, fighting robot known as "The Dream Pagosu".They also combine their armies and unleash them upon TMK.TMK is overpowered and taken over by Wart's and Tatanga's massive army. The Dream Pagosu sets its sight on the Mario bros.TDP attacks the bros with a massive energy ball sending them flying to Bowser's Castle.Bowser's castle is attacked by Wart's and Tatanga's army right before the bros and Bowser can fight each other. The adventure begins with the bros helping Bowser fight the army.

I finally got the framework for my idea:

Super Mario Adventure

Controls

Pretty basic if you've ever played SM64 or SMS. For this idea, I'll use the GCN controller as my basis.

Thumbstick: Moves the player. You can walk, run or tip-toe.
C-stick: Zooms and pans the camera.
A button: For jumping, among other actions.
B button: For stuff like attacking and lifting, among other actions.
Y button: Activates the first-person viewpoint.
X button: Closes the camera in on the player.
L button: Centers camera behind player.
R button: For crouching, among other actions.
Start button: Causes the game to self destruct. I mean, pauses the game. :D

That's about it for the controls, the characters and their abilities will come next time.....

Pretty decent idea.Of course I can't say anything else until I see a plot line or something like that.

Super Mario Advance collection!

SMAC for the GBA is an all new title consisting of very old games. It's basically a collection of the Super Mario advance remakes released for Nintendo's little handheld. However, it also features a variety of unlockables. The following games are included in the game:

Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost levels(unlockable): This game can be unlocked by getting 100% on SMA.
Super Mario's Wacky Worlds(unlockable): This game can be unlocked by getting 100% on SMA2 (Note: This isn't the complete game, it's what the Developers managed to finish programming before the game was shelved.)
Yoshi's story GBA tech demo(unlockable): (This is, obviously, the tech demo included within the GBA developer's kit)This game can be unlocked by getting 100% on SMA3.
SMA4 e-World(unlockable): This game can be unlocked by getting 100% on SMA4 (These are all the levels that can be unlocked through swipping in e-reader cards. Note:The only levels playable here are the ones released by Nintendo before the e-reader was discontinued. No extra levels were added.)
The return of the Mario Bros.(unlockable): This game can be unlocked by getting to level 50 on MB.
The first episode of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show!(unlockable): Using GameBoy video technology, the boys at Nintendo managed to cram in the pilot episode of the SMBSS. To unlock it, you must do 5 things (in no paticular order):
1) Beat Super Mario Bros.:the Lost levels.
2) Beat all the levels included in Super Mario's Wacky Worlds.
3) Spend 10 hours playing the Yoshi's story tech demo altogether (That doesn't mean playing it for 10 hours straight. Even if you play for one minute, you're one minute closer to 10 hours.)
4) Beat all the levels included in the SMA4 e-world.
5) Get to level 50 on the Return of the Mario Bros.
Once you've done all that, the episode will be available to watch. Enjoy!

...Okay, maybe Nintendo wouldn't be able to cram ALL that content into one little GBA cart, but I can still dream.
In Soviet Russia, Pokemon chooses you!

Faction #3 Four Kings Alliance
Story: General Guy, Goomboss & Big Bom-Bomb are fed up with Bowser’s constant failures & the many, shy guys, goombas & bom-bombs that died because of them. Feeling that they can do better, the 3 of them revolt against their former master. They later join forces with Tatanga, who has been rebuilding his own forces since his defeat by Mario so long ago.  Together, the four of decide to acomplish what Bowser never could, overthrow Peach & the Mushroom Kingdom. This enrage the Koopa King, thus creating a three-way war.
Pop limit: 75
Pros:
-Best air units (courtasy of Tantanga's space fleet_.
-Most commanders.
Cons: -Worst sea units & base defenses.
Commanders:-General Guy. Ground armor & shy guys get increased HP.
-Tatanga. Air units get increased speed & firepower.
-Big Bom-Bomb. Bom-bombs have a much larger area of effect when they self-destruct.
-Captain Shy Guy. Pirate from a Mario Party title hired by General Guy to help improve the 4KA’s meager naval forces. Captain Shy Guy provides large boosts to all stats but only to 3 naval units at a time.
-Wario. A greedy merc hired by Tatanga to take down rival commanders. Units of all sides sprout more coins when they die when he’s around. Wario himself fights more effectively against other commanders.
NPCs:
-Goomboss. Mainly in charge of the 4KA’s civilian population (I.E. the goombas).

Units
Infantry
Shy Guy-Basic soldier, armed with a slingshot. When you can train more advanced Guy types, the pre-existing Shys can be upgraded to them.
Spy Guy-Advanced Shy Guy lacking an attack but can disguise himself as a piece of local terrain.  Useful for secretly observing what the other player is doing.
Medic Guy-Advanced Guy type that can heal other guys.
Bom-bomb-Kamikaze infantry.
Armor
Catapault-Can launch bom-bombs afar.
Toy Tank-Based on General Guy's tank. Shoot lighting from it's bulb. Can be upgraded to lay mines.
Air
Fly Guy-Advanced guy type carried by balloons. Can carry a bom-bomb.
Starfighter-Based on Tatanga's ship. Fast & strong air unit.
Teleporter-A unique transport unit. Instead of physically carrying other units, it creates portals at two different radiuses, allowing units to travel instantly from one portal to another. Upgrades increase it's range.
Starcruiser-To paraphrase an old saying "Starcruisers equal instant win". The big guns of Tatanga's new fleet, they're pricy to build & also time consuming, but will make mincemeat out of whatever gets in it's way.
Sea
Boss Bass-SMB3 enemy. Make carry a single infantry in it's mouth. Upgrades allow it to swallow it's cargo to restore health.
Pirate Ship-Simple naval unit.
Structures
Block Fort-Resembles a tower made of legos. The 4KA HQ.
Toy Box-The source of the assorted Shy Guy types as well as their upgrades.
Bomb Plant-Home of Bom-bombs & Catapault. Also needs to be built before pirate ships can be constructed (as they use bom-bombs as projectiles).
Pirate Hideout-Home of seas units.
Starshipyard-Producer of air units.
Chain Chomp-The 4KA's sole defense structure.

Terrain: Maps are set on 9 different types of terrain, all based upon the 8 worlds of SMB3 (boy, that game sure is a big influence here!)
Grass-Peaceful, hilly, many coins. Local monsters are weak.
Dessert-Sandstorms decrease the range of your view. Very little water.
Water-Pretty much the opposite of Dessert, there’s water everywhere.
Giant-Let’s just say that you shouldn’t pick a fight with the locals here!
Sky-Instead of land, battles are fought on solid clouds. Water is completely non-existent & this is the only terrain Sky Pop Mario can be used in.
Ice-Very slippery. Frozen lakes can be busted open to form bodies of water.
Pipe-A maze of pipes make navigating this terrain a challenge.
Dark-Coins are scarce & the monsters are dangerous. Bodies of “water” are either lava or really muddy water (it can be hard to tell the difference).
Castle-Special terrain used for Commander-only maps & missions.

Now, the next part of my idea....

Characters

There's six total. Each has different abilities and progresses through the main game differently.

Mario
He plays just like he did in SM64 and has all the same moves. The most well-rounded character, as usual.

Luigi
Plays similar to Mario, but has his "floaty jump" from SMB2 and he skids after running. His stages are a bit more difficult to them being built around his jumping ability and crappy traction.

Wario
Relies on brute force, as he's the strongest one. He has his signature dash attack and throw moves from Wario World. His game involves smashing stuff and lifting heavy objects.

Yoshi
Has his tounge attack and egg-throwing abilities from Yoshi's Island. He can also eat fruit to gain new powers, which parts of his stages require the use of.

Peach.
She uses a parasol to defend herself, sorta like Super Princess Peach. Also the slowest, but makes up for that by being able to float the furthest with that parasol.

Toad
The fastest, but also the weakest. His game is similar to US's idea in the "Toad Game" thread, as he cannot attack enemies directly, but must use objects scattered about the stages to get around.

That's it for the characters, now I just have to get to the plot.

Well, I don't have a MARIO game idea, but I do have this:

Star Fox Chronicles. Before the programmers decide to further the storyline into the great beyond, they should make a game starring James McCloud, Pigma Dengar and Peppy Hare. You know, a game taking place in the past, explaining everything that happened before the events of Star Fox. Sure, we know what happened, but we don't know why or how. The gameplay could be similar to that of 64, except you'd be playing as James, Pigma and Peppy. New courses, weapons and ships would make things exciting.

System: DS (They should save the next Star Fox game for the Wii.)

I guess getting out and playing as the piolit on some missions would be okay.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?
