BEST:  Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (I need to replay this.) and Super Mario Sunshine (I liked collecting the coins.)

WORST:  No vote

NOMINATION:  Mario Sports game

Edit:  I withdraw my vote for SMS.  On further review I don't consider coin collecting to qualify as sidequests.

Best: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (So much to do after beating the game)

Worst: Superstar Saga (for Nintendoobsessed reason)
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Best: Thousand-Year Door. One of them rewards you with a party member. It doesn't get much better than that.

Worst: I don't think "For how few there are" is a legit reason, as a lot games had NO sidequests. The WORST sidequests are in Super Mario RPG. Not that they were terrible, they were just usually not very rewarding.

SMRPG can't be worst due to Toadofsky alone. Actually the more I think about it, nothing beats Culex.

Best: Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Worst: Super Mario Bros.

Best: SMRPG (hey, SMRPG's side-quests and mini games felt more adventurous. While PMTTYD had a lot, they felt like filler at times)

Worst: Paper Mario (too much walking for my tastes, and mostly for Star Pieces. The Silver Card or whatever was RIP-OFF)

Worst: M&L:PiT, RPG's are supposed to have sidequests!

Best: Paper Mario: TTYD

Worst: Super Paper Mario (Getting all those cards isn't really worth it, really)

Nomination:- Non-Mario Playable Character

Best: Paper Mario
Worst: M+L PiT (come on, there were virtually NO sidequests!)
If she is indeed genetically mutated such that she has an eye in the back of her head, then I guess that she is genetically mutated and has an eye in the back of her head.

Best: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The message board in Rougeport made up for the lack of sidequests elsewhere.

Worst: PiT

Best: SMG.  While getting the bare minimum was too easy, getting all 120(+1) was fun and sometimes even hard.

Worst: SMRPG.  There's really only one optional boss, isn't there...?  Not too much to do aside from the main game.

Yes, but there are a lot more sidequests than just Culex.
That was a joke.

Lazy Shells, Toadofsky, Hidden Chests, Musty Fears, Super Jumping, Game Boy game, minigame scores, Yo'ster Isle

Not much to do aside from the main game.
