Bob the Spiny.

Don't snap at me anymore. I only give advice.

And yes, it is in the toxic cave. That is why I mentioned it.

There are two holes to the left of the bats cave that will lead you to two separate stars. One of which was the one that you ask me for advice on.

Aw, c'mon Mario Maniac.

Yes, Boltman and Bandicootbuddy may like Sony/Microsoft characters, but so what?

Mario may reign supreme on my favorite character list, but he isn't the only one there.

I also like Link, Kirby(Even though he is kind of creepy), Spyro, Samus Aran, and various other characters.

Yes, I do know that my list of favorite characters are completely dominated by Nintendo characters, but that is why I'm a Nintendo fan, ain't I?

Okay, so Boltman and Bandicootbuddy may seem to like those characters alot, but they most likely love Mario over them. That's why they're on a Mario fansite, aren't they?

You gotta know that anybody who comes onto a Mario fansite and insult him will get flame so much that Hell would feel like Antartica compare to what it would feel like here.

Video Game Chat / Re: Nintendo GameCube or PS2?

Renting Super Monkey Ball isn't going to be enough. The game starts off easy, but then it gets insanely hard.

And besides, buying it is better than renting. The game has mini-games that are much fun too. The game is mainly a strategy one, but there is also a racing mini-game that is similar to Super Mario Kart. It also has a Pool and a Bowling mini-game too.

Boltman.

No, I don't really miss the Final Fantasy series, though there are still probably alot of Final Fantasy fans who are staying with Nintendo and refused Sony and Microsoft.

I never played the Final Fantasy series until recently. I love Final Fantasy 5 and 7.
People in Final Fantasy 2/4 are too cold and people die too often for my liking. And I refused to play any Final Fantasies after 7 for various reasons.

I have yet to play Final Fantasy 1, 3, or 6. Even though the series is good, it isn't good enough for me to switch systems just for the series. But I do realize that many Nintendo fans have switch systems just for the series, and various other games that was on Nintendo systems.

Oh, and I do give the XBox some points for good games like Halo, but I absolutely refused to buy it. But if you mean give it a chance by not hating it yet, then I'm already doing that.

I have Super Mario World, and it sort of surprise me. I didn't know it would actually difficult to beat. I thought that it would be easy like all the other Mario games(I'm not sure about Super Mario 2 & 3, though).

Anyway, I don't have Super Mario World for the GameBoy Advance.........yet. Why is it better?

Mario Chat / Re: Mario of the Future!!!! OHHHHHHHHHH!
« on: February 20, 2002, 05:09:29 PM »
Some people have been telling me that the next system will either be called Nintendo 255(Where in the Mushroom Kingdom did they get this??), or simply, the GameCube 2.

I really don't believe either of it. Personally, I prefer Super GameCube, because it reminds me of the awesome Super Nintendo.

Oh, and to all the people who talk about the release date of the next Nintendo system. Didn't Shigeru Miyamoto said that he wanted to support the GameCube for eight years?

You know, this has been bothering me.

Besides Crash Bandicoot, what other first-party games does Sony have? Long ago, I used to think it was Spyro, but now I know it was Insomniac that created that game. Can anyone tell me what else did Sony make?

Mario Chat / Re: Shigeru Miyamoto's newest enemy...
« on: February 20, 2002, 04:56:39 PM »
I don't think Bill Gates would be willing to pay the amount that would top Shigeru Miyamoto's paycheck. So far, every game Miyamoto made was a smash hit and sold millions. And since Nintendo were the ones who own cartridges used for the NES, SNES, and N64, they got more money than most normal companies.

Now, by the guess, Nintendo should get about 40% of the profits while Shigeru Miyamoto get the 60% since it is his game. That should mean that........Shigeru Miyamoto is a multi-billionaire by now. With a few more games, he should be just as rich or richer than Bill Gates.

Video Game Chat / Re: The real reason the DreamCast died...
« on: February 20, 2002, 04:47:07 PM »
"A lot of you seem confused as to why the DreamCast failed. I can clear all of that up for you..."

I'm not confused about that, but thanks for your effort anyway.

"Sega DreamCact was released in 1998. It immediately sold out in many stores accross the United States. The DreamCast had a 128-bit processor (not 2 64-bit ones), and could play music CD's in it."

1998? Really? I thought it was released in 2000. And I also didn't know it could play music CDs.

"The DreamCast also had a built-in modem that was made by Microsoft. The DreamCast could support Window's software (it says so right on the system) and could also access the Internet. Sega had created it's own Internet service to utilize this feature. Called SegaNet, the service allowed gamers to play special DreamCast games online! But it would only work for games that supported the service."

You noticed a pattern here? Back in the days, Nintendo created a couple of games for the Atari systems, then they went into the business themselves and became super popular with the NES and SNES system. Then Sony created a couple of consoles parts for Nintendo, and they went into the business themselves and became super popular with their PSX and PS2 system. Then Microsoft created a couple of things for the DreamCast, and they went into the business themselves to become popular(Not super popular!) with the XBox and a game called "Halo".

"You could also use the SegaNet service just like the normal Internet; you could go to any webpage you wanted. Unfortunately, the service didn't last long. Not many companies were supporting Sega's Internet service, so it died out quickly..."

It isn't supported anymore? Funny, when I bought Super Monkey Ball, I saw an ad for SegaNet.

"Aside from the failure of the Internet service, the DreamCast made up for that, by having a huge library of great 1st-party games lined up for it. The DreamCast had a very good future indeed..."

Yup, it sure seem like it at the time.

"In October of 2000, Sony released their PlayStation 2. It was immediately sold out within 24 hours. Since Sony shipped twice as many systems than Sega had, the PS2 sold more systems than any other system in the world! What made the PS2 so great was that it could play old PS1 games...It was also the first system that came with a built-in DVD player."

If by "sold more systems than other systems in the world!", you mean more than the DreamCast, then most likely yes. But if you mean the most sold system in history, then the answer is no, because the Super Nintendo is the best selling system in history.

"Sony knew the DreamCast wouldn't last long, so they built their PS2 to include a faster processor than DreamCast. Sony also hired more 3rd-party companies to develop for it."

Actually, that is incorrect. As a matter of fact, Sony was afraid that the DreamCast would succeed, and rush their system to the market. Although it was sold out, there was a shortage due to their rush.

And another thing, Sony can't hired companies to make games for them, the companies will choose which system they want to make games for.

"Many gamers were turned towards the success of the PlayStation2, and many of them sold their DreamCasts in order to buy a PS2!"

That is true.

"THAT is why the DreamCast died, because Sony won more success with their god-awful PlayStation2 system!"

Such a sad thing.

"This is also why Nintendo gave up on their Nintendo64! But they still had millions of dollars in profits from their GameBoy system, so that's why they didn't fail!"

Nintendo is a multi-billion dollar company. Failing on one system won't make them go out of business. Did you know that it took about eight failed systems to take out Sega? And the fact that Nintendo is much richer than Sega will help the fact that they won't be going of business for a long time.

And another thing, although the N64 did lack in the game department, it was not actually a failed system. It did failed in the game department, but it succeed in the money department. Nintendo made millions off of the N64.

"After the failure of the DreamCast, Sega was in deep trouble. They had lost millions of dollars because the DreamCast wasn't selling well... and PS2 was selling better."

Too bad, Sega is a good company.

"Making consoles costs a lot of money, and since Sega had lost so much money, they didn't have enough to make a new console... So they instead quit the console business and intead focused on making games!"

I pray to God that Mario will never appear on a Sony or Microsoft system, even if Nintendo does failed and go onto the game making business instead of making consoles.

"Hopefully, Sega will earn back enough money to make a new system. But that probably will never happen..."

Actually, while it would be a difficult task, there is a chance of it happening. A much bigger chance than some people might think.

Video Game Chat / Re: Nintendo GameCube or PS2?
« on: February 20, 2002, 04:25:58 PM »
This question could of have work for me...........that is if I hadn't already bought my GameCube on December 31, 2001.

Besides, do you think you should be asking that kind of question on a Mario fansite? There are a whole bunch of hugh Mario fans here, including me.

Anyway, even though the games on the Playstation 2 looks great, it isn't as good as the hype says it is.

Due to it not having anti-aliasing, many people are finding that alot of its games have jaggies. Oh, and did you know that some games cannot have better graphics on the PS2? Although the PS2 can make many games look better, there are also some games that it can't make better graphics on.

Oh, and did you know that many people are finding that the PS2's DVD player have problems?

Anyway, even though games do look good on the PS2, I can tell you that it look good on the GameCube too. I have Super Smash Brothers Melee, Dark Summit, Star Wars Rogue Leader 2, and Super Monkey Ball. And let me tell you something, the graphics on those games are perfect! This is thanks to the GameCube's anti-aliasing.

Oh, and if you are a really big fan of Super Smash Brothers for the N64, then you will fall in love with Super Smash Brothers Melee.

Actually, it's more like the President of Nintendo.

Shigeru Miyamoto is nothing more than the best video game creator in history, but I doubt that Bill Gates would insult him. If Bill Gates could, then he would buy out Shigeru Miyamoto in a second, but we all know that it won't be happening soon.

About your problem on course six.

Now, if you go to the front of the place with the bats, you have to make a left. When you do, you should go into a place with two small holes. If you look up, you should see two openings that lead to special places. Those two openings will lead to two stars.
