I don't think that Nintendo will curse Sony if they leave the video game market.
Sony and Nintendo are not really enemies, just rivals.
The only true enemies I can see in this console war is Sony and Microsoft. This is probably because both of them cater to the mature market.
Playstation 2 has a whole bunch of violent and pornographic games like Grand Theft Auto 3, which covers both violence and pornography. Then there is the XBox, which cater to the mature market too with the same type of games, like Halo and Dead or Alive 3.
Although Sony and Microsoft should be at each other throats, Microsoft seems to be more fond of attacking Nintendo for some unknown reason.
It is clear that Sony is attacking Microsoft, but Microsoft seems to be occupied with attacking Nintendo.
Is it because Nintendo wants to be left out of the console war and just create games for their fans? Or is it because Microsoft wants to persuade Nintendo fans over to the XBox because Microsoft knows Nintendo got millions of fans.
I don't know right now, and I'll probably never know....
Anyway, the answer is yes, I do want a Mario All-Star for the GameCube.
Instead of your titles, though. I want Super Mario, Super Mario 2, Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, and Super Mario 64.
I want all of those games on Mario All-Star, except with upgraded graphics. Sort of like how Super Mario 64 looks, except even better! Or they can make a 2D/3D combination, that'll be just fine with me!
Do you realize how those games would be like on the GameCube? The GameCube is powerful enough to make those games absolutely beautiful, give them awesome music, and make extremely lengthy!
And I'm not talking about Super Mario 3 lengthy. I'm talking about each game taking about 7 days to beat! Even without getting ANY of the secrets!
Trust me, the GameCube has much more than enough power to do this. I have a GameCube with Star Wars, Super Smash Brothers Melee(Very fun!), and Super Monkey Ball. In all of them, GameCube shows just what kind of abilities it has when it comes to music and graphics. And both of them are superb!
And the upcoming game, Eternal Darkness, shows that the GameCube has enough power to put about 80 hours of gameplay into a single disk alone! Maybe even more!
Putting the kind of lenght into those games might take Nintendo quite a while, and whole lot of disks, but in the end, they will make millions!
Because disks and development are much cheaper now thanks to their mini-DVD disk format, and we all know that Nintendo are billionaires, don't we?
Anyway, let's just hope that a Mario All-Star DO come out for the GameCube.
I would be crying with joy if they do. Ahhh, the wonderful memories...
