Mario Chat / Re: The Golden Age of Gaming
« on: March 13, 2002, 06:28:06 PM »
The Golden Age of Gaming? That died with the mighty Super Nintendo and the innovative Genesis.

As soon as the 32-bits consoles(N64, PSX, and Saturn) hit the shelf, that was the day great gameplay and amazing storyline died.

Long ago, we got bad graphics with great gameplay and innovation(Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda:A Link To The Past, and Final Fantasy V). Nowadays, we get games with super amazing graphics with mediocre gameplay and unoriginal storyline(Final Fantasy X and Jax & Daxter).

While there are still many great games, there are not as many as when there are not much a developer can do on graphics.

The GameBoy Advance could have possibly revive the Golden Age of Gaming, but everybody keeps on making ports instead of new games. Luckily, Nintendo made Golden Sun to keep us happy for a little while. But if things keep going the way it does, then the GameBoy Advance might as well be called the PortBoy Advance.

There's a Super Mario comic and poster?! Where did you get it?!

P.S. Didn't you said that you were going to leave on the "BandicootBuddy's Shrine" message?

You're leaving? Oh well, I can't do nothing about it.

So in the words of MammaMia Mario:

See Ya!!!

"Ah, come on now. Why do you guys always get like that? "I hate XBox" here, and "Down with Sony!" there."

Because it's fun!

"I mean, what's the big deal? What did they do to you?"

I accidently bought one of Sony's defective CD players. And Microsoft screw up my computer with their 'Microsoft Word 6.0" program.

"It'd be boring if only Nintendo existed anyways, 'cause then you'd have nothing to compare their superiority to, right?"

No, cause then Sega would still be a console maker.

After all their years of failure, they finally succeeded with the DreamCast. That is, they would've if the Playstation 2 wasn't around. And the fact that there would only be 2 consoles make it easier for us to have more games than we do now.

"Anyways, come to my place at 8-10 Pm for Pasta. Lots of pasta. Mm'kay?"

Mamma mia! Pasta?! I'll be there early!!

MammaMia, puh-leese!!!

After reading all of the posts that you have answer to, I know that you are one of THE MOST anti-Microsoft/XBox person on the entire forum!

As a matter of fact, the post that you put in my "The Nintendo Zone:Episode 1(Humor)" proves it!

So stop faking before I get Mario to drop-kick you out the window!

Great story, BandicootBuddy, but may I make request?

Perhaps, if it is not too much trouble, you can use better grammar and capitalization next time.

For example:Instead of doing this...

"mario: hi everybody! tonights guest are snubbull the pokemon and crash the bandicoot! so snubbull, hows pokemon? snubbull: because of pikachu hogging up the spotlight were almost broke. mario:reminds me of my younger days! so, do you have any new games?"

You can do this....

"Mario: Hi, everybody! Tonight's guest are Snubbull the Pokemon and Crash the Bandicoot! So Snubbull, how's Pokemon?

Snubbull: Because of Pikachu hogging up the spotlight, we're almost broke.

Mario:Reminds me of my younger days! So, do you have any new games?"

See the difference? If you are too busy to do this, though, can you at least put sentences in your story? I'm having trouble reading your story when you don't have any spaces.

P.S. Perhaps you can put Ken Kutaragi(Sony's President), Hiroshi Yamauchi(Nintendo's President), and Bill Gates(Microsoft's President) together in the next show for them to battle it out.

P.S.S. Then maybe you can put Shigeru Miyamoto, Hideo Kojima, and Shinji Mikimi together afterwards?

"Please??? Pretty Please??? I'll give you a kiss if you tell me!!!"

I don't know why I'm going to talk to you, but I will anyway.

1.You are nothing more than a schizophrenic version of MammaMia Mario. Just because you have the name "StarGirl" doesn't make you anymore feminine.

2.No

P.S. Have any of you play Paladin's Quest or Brain Lord? Let's just say that there are more RPGs for the SNES than you think.

P.S.S. Oh, and did you know that Tales of Phantasia for the SNES had graphics that match up to the graphics on games for the PSX and N64? Oh wait, no you don't. Because the game is so incredibly hard to find that there is no way you could know!

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I love torturing Nintendo fans with games better than even Chrono Trigger that they can't obtain.

"Shup Up StarGirl."

MammaMia Mario would be more convenient since he wasn't in his schizophrenic state.

"My friend has a PS2.......i enjoy it at sometimes....I like 1 game. DID YOU HEAR?????I ONLY LIKE 1 GAME!!!!!"

There's a difference in saying "I like PS2" on a multi-console website than saying it on a Nintendo website.

"RRRRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

LOL!

"You said PS2 was your favorite system!!!!!!!!!!!! I pray you're joking or prepare to DIE!!!!!!!!!"

Calm down, MammaMia Mario. Remember the BandicootBuddy incident.

"Burn in my fiery inferno of HE*L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!!!M-M-M-MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RRRRROOOOAAARRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Whoa...

"........pant,pant...must not kill......gggrrrr,you'd better say your favorite system is: Nes,SNES,N64,GB,GBC,GBA,GCN....or face the consequenses...Bwahahaha..."

Eh, I can't really understand why anybody would choose any system over the SNES. The SNES had more variety of games than any other system today, even more than the PS2.

The only reason I said N64 was because I wasn't seriously into video gaming until the days of the N64 and PSX.

"1.Favorite system.
ah, playstation 2"

Do you have a GameCube, or planned on getting one? Because if you don't, then why are you on a Mario fansite?

"2.Why did you join.
the other board i joined wasent near as active as i wanted it."

Active? If you leave for two weeks, then come back, you might see about 15-30 new messages. But on the GameSpot website, if you do the same thing, then you'll see about 150-400 new posts. Notice the difference?

If you like active websites, go there.

"3.How often will you post?
whenever there is something i want to respond to"

That's usually the case with me, but I post messages a lot too.

"4.When was your first visit to TMK website?
some years back..."

Whoa. How did you remember this place?

"5.Do you plan on staing on theeses boards?
yes, yes i dooooo........bwaa ha ha"

I'm beginning to see a BandicootBuddy Deja Vu. I hope that doesn't happen.

"1.Favorite system."

The N64, it may lack some games, but a lot of those games kept me busy for quite a while. Especially Super Mario 64, though.

"2.Why did you join."

I like Mario and Nintendo, and so do the people here. Our interest are pretty much the same, so this is an ideal place for me to go to.

"3.How often will you post?"

Well, I'm getting pretty interested in the Story Board, so I might be posting more often.

"4.When was your first visit to TMK website?"

If you ask for a psecific date, then I can't supply you with the information, but it was about a month ago.

"5.Do you plan on staing on theeses boards?"

Pretty much.

You know, even though these questions are innocent enough, it made me feel like I was being evaluated by an FBI agent.

P.S. Does being here for a month mean that I'm a normal member now, or am I still a new member?
