I already knew about the Super Metroid thing but what if I didn't man? That could have been a disaster. Anyway Aerith's death was crap in terms of shock in Final Fantasy games. In Final Fantasy VI I was much more saddened by the loss of Cid because I actually had a choice in the matter. Also, same goes for Shadow. I can't believe I let Shadow die. Who cares about that flowery attention whore in FFVII anyway? And don't even get me started on how Kefka actually destroys the whole world.

FFIX is a return to the older style of Final Fantasy games, so it's really reminiscent of the first five games, maybe a little bit of VI.  But I've gotta admit that the setting of a game really doesn't affect my view on it as long as it's a good game.

I think this one is better made. Here's the one Warp mentioned for all of those who missed the wonderful times of Mr. Melee hating and ignoring Chupperson. Also, I had trouble finding happy, fully body shots of Bird Person and Rao.

Well, typically art is meant for as many things as the artist can imagine but perhaps one of the most frequently visited and thought provoking applications of art is social commentary. And given the current state of this place I felt that I needed to put my art to use as social commentary, so take this following work of art as you will. And yes, I do agree that it looks a tad bit like a Weezer album (that's why I chose the font. It sucks that the edges are really rough but I wanted to make this image in a fairly timely fashion.

Comparing Pokémon to Final Fantasy IV is really like comparing McDonalds to gourmet food. Or at least Fuddruckers. And in all fairness, Final Fantasy IV is more than just silly grinding and fighting. You have to use tricks and strategies against bosses or you won't be able to take them down with even the greatest amounts of brute force.
