'Addicting' is a word, but it's often used in the wrong context where 'addictive' should be used, hence the fury regarding this subject.

I'd much rather "suck" then swashbuckle. All the pirates say that ninjas suck. That is, three seconds before we sneak up behind them and throw a shuriken at them.

The Luigi pic is mighty fine, though I wonder what will happen when he runs out of fuel. But I think the pikuchu pic is a little too furry. Was he meant to look like a squirrel?

I, personally, find that most of Nintendo's games today focus on pushing Gamer's logic and problem-solving skills rather then their reflexes or platforming skills. Basically, the challenge of Nintendo games comes from solving puzzles rather then reacting quickly to obstacles or fighting enemies (such as Zelda or Metroid).

The most challenging game I've ever played would have to be Contra 4 for the DS. And I'm only on the first level on easy. Then again, it's Contra, the series where bullets fly at you at every possible angle, so I guess I shouldn't have expected it to be a pushover...

More people in Calgary, Toronto, Halifax could identify a photo of Mario than one of their own Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Is that really an accomplishment? I mean, people could probably recognize a hobo better than Stephen Harper.

Mario should run for prime minister. At least then, people would actually start paying attention to Canadian politics.

Mario did catch the eyes of more women than did the Prime Minister (66% versus 63% identification).

I always knew Mario was a lady's man.

The man in red and blue could unite the nation!

Could Mario be a symbol for peace between conservatives (red) and liberals (blue)?

Heh, great picture!

Anyway, my tech class entered it's photoshop unit a couple weeks ago. As a final project, we had to take two images and edit ourselves into the picture. I guess the second one I made could count as a fan creation...

Check it out.



It's based on this wonderful image of Samus. I used the quick mask, distort, perspective, brush/sample, clone stamp, blur and smudge tools to make it. What do you think?

Alright, here's the situation:

It was religion class. I've always had a vendetta with one of the kids, due to his tendency to pick on me, usually for no reason. While we were doing work today, I could hear him whispering some rotten things about me. I don't quite remember what they were, but they did make me feel bad. So, just before we moved to our next class, I enter this discussion with him that went something like this:

Me: Hey, *person*, did you do any work?

Him. No

Me: Well maybe if you spent less time insulting me, you could've gotten some work done.

Other kids: BURNED!

Luckily, he couldn't come up with a counter-burn. I usually don't favour revenge, but this was one of those time >:).

Okay, I understand Mario & Chief as mascots for their respective consoles...

... But Kratos? Seriously? He's only had two games. Wouldn't Ratchet be better?

Anyway, the animation look like it came from the early 90's, not to mention the over-exaggerated landscape. I mean, Master Chief saved the world, it's colonies and humanity as a whole from killer religous aliens, and this is the thanks he gets? Immortalizied in super-bad anim8ter animation?

At least Super Chick Sisters tried to look good...

Hm, I thought they would've put pong up there...

Oh well, it's good to see Mario gets the honor of being the top dog. Although, I think there may be games better then the original SMB, such as Zelda: Ocarina of time.
