I like the new Channel. It however contains some outdated videos, but I like the DS Download service that will let you try out demos. Anyone have an idea for how frequently the channel updates?

I hope it updates at least once a week, like the VC (That would make it way more useful, even if it were usually video updates.).

Uhh, they DID give a release date! Check the video again, look at the scene where he's downloading the game from the Wii Shop Channel and you'll see "Release date: May 12."

Edit: I checked the video again and..... yes. It's the real deal. If you don't believe me, check the "What's Wiiware" video. It's out 5/12/2008!

Mario Chat / Re: Miyamoto: TIME's #1 most influential person!

Where does it say this....

Uhh, yeah, about that. I WOULD of given the link to the page, but I can't copy/paste anything. (Darn Wii web browser, but it's all I got... for now.) Anyway, if you want to see it, go: here
and scroll down till you find the article, then click the first link in the article to go to the "Miyamoto nominated for TIME's top 100 again" and click the link that leads to TIME's top 100 poll It's the one that says "Rig an internet poll" or something like that.

THAT, or look around TIME's website, or just google it.

Mario Chat / Miyamoto: TIME's #1 most influential person!
« on: May 01, 2008, 07:21:30 PM »
Shigeru Miyamoto. The creator of Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, and more has been declared TIME's #1 most influential person, with 1,993,050 votes! beating out the runner-up, Rain, by roughly 300,000 votes.

Edit: I hope no one was cheating. It wouldn't be fair If God Miyamoto won by fans cheating.

Video Game Chat / Re: Wii's graphic potential realized!

Uh, ... did you steal my thread? You DID add more info, but did you know I already had a thread up. Two days ago. And... well... that's it.
Edit: I WOULD have put more information, but the ONLY thing that I have acess to the internet is... my Wii. Also, why is this in "Mario Chat?"

Mario Chat / Re: How does SMB handle collision?
« on: April 24, 2008, 09:44:35 PM »
You might wanna be a little more specific.
What program are you using to make the game/engine?
And what is going wrong when your objects collide?

I ... don't know much about game making (Though I want to... badly) so you best get your answers from someone else, or from a game making forum.

I haven't heard of High Voltage, or it's titles in years so I'm a bit on the "eh, wait and see" side. I'm waiting for the gameplay footage of "The Conduit", but the game does look really good and god awful in some screenshots. Also the just announced Gryostarr (I forget if that's how you spell it) for Wiiware looks great so far.

Anyway, What do you think about High Voltage's new Wii attitude? Do you like or hate that flat out said everything that Nintendo fans have been saying about third-party developers? Or about their "360 looking" Wii game The Conduit, or their Wiiware game, Gyrostarr?

Video Game Chat / Re: CD Factories, do you use them?

I finally got the New SMB track with it, and I... can't stop beating up Sandbag. I-I-I m--ean, uh, I can s-t-top. I j-ust do-n't want t-t-o.

Video Game Chat / Re: Brawl's Ups and Downs
« on: April 14, 2008, 09:48:22 PM »
Ups: The story makes so little sense, you'd think they made a new kind NintendoCrack© to help come up with these storys!

Downs: Even sending in my Wii, even having it replaced; losing all my data, would not be enough to end the errors. I CAN play the game, but sometimes the game will stay on the loading page, then the error screen shows up. This does not happen to often, but it is annoying.

Note: My Wii was not replaced because of dirt. I.... kinda did something before sending it in. Screwed it up real bad.

They're pretty cool, although I died a little inside (that's a bad thing) when seeing some of the Donkey Kong series trophies. And 76 of the trophies are Pokemon-related.

Well that's not THAT bad when you consider theres over a million Pokemon!

Mario Chat / Re: Melee or Brawl
« on: April 11, 2008, 09:38:35 PM »
I say without doubt, Brawl is better. But control, for me, is weird. I started with the classic, which I had noticed things got tougher. I used classic for about have of the SSE. Then I switched to a GC controller. Things did get easier, so I stuck with it for awhile. But then I switched right back to classic, and I think I do better! That, and I like the character noises coming from the Wii remote (I'll miss rumble though.).

The rest of the games is miles ahead of Melee. I don't care if characters are floatier, or slower, The game is completely awesome. I actually couldn't use Luigi in Melee. He's my favorite in Brawl. Next to Sonic, Mario, Snake, R.O.B, and Toon Link.

Y-y-your k-kid-dding... right? RIGHT?! Well... I shouldn't have to worry. I only got my Wii back a week or two ago. Also, I'm shocked Mario Kart Wii is duel-layered.

The new name sounds a lot like Super Mario Strikers. I hope this is better than Mario Superstar Baseball, it was good, but got waaay to repetitive.
