Don't you hate it when books have pages that say?:

Will the DS be able to connect to a TV directly or through a Game Cube so that we can see one or both screens of SM64x4 in all its glory on a big screen?  I bought a Game Boy Player to play GBA games on my big screen.  I hope they incorporate that ability into the NDS.

Will the Nintendo DS be able to connect to GCN?  Wireless connectivity to the GCN would make games like the new Zelda cool.  Imagine the New Zelda game on your TV, but on the DS see both a map, and be able to change item/equipment at the same time.

Will the DS have a Z80 processor?  I haven't seen it listed in specs, but if so it can/could play GB, GBP, and GBC games.

Why not put gyroscopes link in Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble?  That would be really cool.

Will SM64x4 have a single player mode like the new GCN Zelda: Four Swords?  I sure hope so.  (Edit: I read here and on a hands-on thread that it will)

Will SM64x4 have any new levels/worlds?  It would be cool to have a whole new world and/or a few new levels.  A little 2d side scrolling and puzzle games for up to 4 players would also be cool.

Why doesn't Nintendo make the top DS screen bigger?  There is plenty of room on the top, but I guessing they won't because they want to keep the price down.  Although, wouldn't it be cool to have a screen as big as the PSP to see side scrolling games like the NEW Super Mario Bros in a real wide screen format.  The top screen could be a Wide Screen since there is plenty of room for it to be twice as wide.  Other than a slight increase in weight and price, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.  (Edit:  The price might actually be higher than Nintendo is comfortable with since there is projected to be a shortage of LCD spring until April 2005.  I would pay extra for a WS.)  Checkout the link below for a picture I quickly edited to show the size the screen could be.

Also, Shiggy said there were features he wanted to put on the DS, but didn't to keep the price down.  What features might he have wanted and possibly have planned for a future version?

I found the interview interesting, but very "well duh".  Anyway, the above url point to a cnn reporter's column on the interview.  I have often disagreed with his impression and fact about Nintendo and Mario games, but this report is better than normal.  Maybe that is because he is quoting the Nintendo President.  Check it out, then voice your opinion here.

Contest #002:  Mario vs Donkey Kong (May 18th - June 7th)

Nintendo Kingdom's Staff is holding it's second contest, and it's based on the upcoming release of Mario vs Donkey Kong for the Game Boy Advance.

So take part in our new Reader's Review contest! Write a review on any Mario game or Donkey Kong gamefor any Nintendo system, and you could win a FREE copy of Mario vs Donkey Kong for the Game Boy Advance.

The winner will be selected depending on how well the review is written. Reviewers will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of the game, and back up their opinions with evidence from the game. Your final score/ beliefs about the game will not be graded, so don't be afraid to give a game a high/ low score as long as you can prove why it deserves it.

PLEASE CREATE REVIEWS IN THEIR OWN TOPICS, AND TITLE THEM with "CONTEST #02 -" followed by Game Title.  So it would look something like "Contest #002 - Donkey Kong Country".

Here are the rules for the Reader's Review contest:

1.) Reviewers must follow this review outline:

Write a paragraph on each of the following sections.

Intro

Graphics

Audio

Gameplay

Control

Multiplayer/ Connectivity (if applicable)

Overall

The game must be given an Final Score on 1-10 scale. However, it is up to the reviewer if they would like to score each aspect (graphics, audio, etc...), this will not be required.

2.) Finding screenshots, art, game data, or any additional images are not necessary for the Reader's Review contest.

3.) Reviews are to be submitted by posting them through the forums, inside the Reader Review section.

Site Discussion / New Mailbag?
« on: May 17, 2004, 09:08:39 PM »
That last three mailbags have been approximattly a month apart:

10 Mar 2004 - Happy MAR10 Day.
19 Feb 2004 - 5.1 on the humor scale.
11 Jan 2004 - Weirdness within.

I know the overall trend in mailbags shows the time between them generally increasing, and the MAR10 Day mailbag was put up because of it's date, but it's been over two months since the last one so shouldn't we have a new one soon.  I will help filter through the emails if you want.

EDIT: to many to count, and it still sounds wrong.  Oh, well.  That's a deep subject.

Sorry, I'm to lazy to post html links now.

Is there anything you would take off or add to the list?  Why?

EDIT: Now image hosting with photobucket.com

General Chat / Guess my password
« on: May 15, 2004, 05:33:28 PM »
I will give a hint for you to guess my password.  I will add a hint everyday or so depending on the number and accuracy of guesses.  Everybody gets no more than one guess per hint.  The person who guesses correct first then posts a hint to their password.  [No actual passwords should be used in this game.]

Hint 1:  8 characters.

Site Discussion / Nintendo Puzzle Collection canceled?
« on: May 12, 2004, 12:23:28 AM »
On Nintendo.com I notice a while back that the Nintendo Puzzle Collection was classified as "Rumored", but a few days ago it disappeared from the master game list and from my wishlist.  Does this mean that the US release was canceled?  If so, it should be removed from the list on TMK.

...

You don't have to be a fool to fall in love, just folish.

This image may be fake, and some here may have seen it before.  Maybe this was planned for the SNES, but never completed.  Notice the 1999 copyright date.
