Mario Chat / Re: OMG NEW WALUIGI GAME!!11

Why'd the N-Sider forums close down?  They loaded all of the n00bs onto TMK.

Was that directed at me?

Mario Chat / Re: why do so many mario fans hate sonic?
« on: December 03, 2007, 07:30:00 PM »
I think Sonic games are fun, however, I'm always going to stick with Mario. Let's see why...

Well, this is weird, but my first system I ever got was a Genesis. I was 4 or 5. I liked video games, but not Nintendo in particular. Anyway, I didn't have a game system or handheld at the time so my neighbor let me borrow his. My dad never hooked it up, and thank God he didn't either. So we gave it back. Anyway, so I later got into Mario, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, go 10 years into the future and you'll see me playing the original Sonic on the Wii. Yea, I downloaded it. I love it too. The music sometimes...erm, is better than Mario. The platforming is kinda hard, but Mario has the better tight controls and everything.

Well, this thread did get my attention, and I must say that I'm tired of the whole "New Mario game" trend we've been seeing here recently.

I'm glad it did.

It's just the N-Sider kicking in. I'd get used to it. (though I will not)
I already am used to it.

Video Game Chat / Re: "Only-once" Game Locations

Let's see...

In Super Mario Sunshine, the Delfino Airstrip. You can only go once in the beginning but after you get 80 or so shine sprites you can go back. (Isn't there some hidden Gyriod(sp) texture?

Same with Super Mario Galaxy...

Hmm, I've noticed that the games that aren't awesome don't have them.

Let's see...

One time my Animal Crossing DS game got washed and dried. It still works find today.

Another time I dropped my DS Phat (Which has been recently thrown away due to too much damage) at my friends's hard wood floor. It cracked the side. it still worked fine. But later my sister broke it...in half.

Why the heck do people keep making threads like "New 3-D Mario Game" or "New Yoshi Game". Is there really not that much Mario stuff to talk about that you have to make a random "not-going-to-happen" assumption? Sorry if you're the maker of these threads. I'm not trying to flame, I'm just asking why you make such random threads.

These are awesome! I think I'm going to design a site for these things. Similar to this.

Is it a good idea or not?

I like all of them, but Toy Time Galaxy, Ghostly Galaxy, and Beach Bowl Galaxy the best.

Also, I love the Rainbow Road reference in Bowser's Star Reactor.

Um, "Super Mario" is not a game. You also forgot 64, which had fake coins. (They were fake 3-D). SSB also had fake coins. So I vote Sunshine.

Mario Chat / Re: Swimming is kind of hard in Galaxy
« on: November 28, 2007, 03:31:24 PM »
Yes. The swimming is hard in Galaxy. One time I had 99 Purple coins and I tried to swim away from the edge of the ocean on Beach Bowl Galaxy, and the swimming messed up and I died. I had to get all 99 + 1 again. Oh and, if you're near an item such as a green shell and can't get it, if you spin it comes to you. I guess that's a small work-around.

Well, what it is is that the ray bounces all over the place, then you overcompensate with the remote and fall off the edge. It doesn't matter, though, because I spent almost the entire race on the Loopdeloop/Loopdeswoop Galaxy not accelerating and I still get there with a minute to spare. Too easy, yes, but maybe it's an apology for the insanely frustrating squid races in SMS...

The squid races in SMS were easier. At least to control.
I already beat it just saying it was tough.

The boss stages are way too easy though.
Like I said before, I thought it was easy with some hard parts. And yes, the boss battles were very easier.

...Except Bouldergeist Daredevil. >.<times 100000

That was hard. However, I found a little trick to beat him really quick.

That totally made no sense...
Good point...

Go put it up with Mario. Oh and she says that even when you're finished with Luigi.

If you think your so good, try to beat Rosalina mode.

It was so easy I skipped right past it.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Galaxy sequel?
« on: November 23, 2007, 11:09:25 AM »
Call me weird, but I think there is a sequel.

At the end of Galaxy, Rosalina talks about how the circle of life repeats itself. (With stars). Then she's like..."You'll see".

Later, Mario's like..."WELCOME! WELCOME NEW GALAXY!!!"

Mario Chat / Super Mario Galaxy was...(Lots of spoilers)
« on: November 23, 2007, 10:59:52 AM »
Well, when you beat it with Mario, all you get it Luigi. Luigi's version of the game isn't even different. Just some different level names (so they make more sense with Luigi), and some other text changes. Of course, it is nice that what you get when you beat it with Mario and Luigi...

But still, it was a bit to...easy. Not trying to brag. It had a lot of hard parts, but the second round with Luigi was insanely easy. I remember seeing that Luigi's mode was hard mode. However, it is actually easier. He jumps higher and runs faster. The only downside is that he slides, but that is barely ever bothersome. It took be 2 days to completely beat it. Now I already finished the game. I'm getting a little worried that I'm either getting too good, or that the games are getting too easy.

Don't get me wrong. The game was really fun. But the post-game things are a little lackluster. I wish they had like...1000 orange coins hidden all over the galaxy or something. Something that kept the fun.

What did you think of Galaxy?
