In the above poll please only vote for games you have downloaded from the Wii Virtual Console, but feel free to discuss any and all games by replying.

Here's a question: Why would someone want to download a game they already have? Instead of downloading Mario Kart 64 when you have it already, why not keep your N64 handy and spend the money/points on games you don't have? That's what I would do.

DISCLAIMER: This post is not directed at anyone in particular, just some beef I've had with the Virtual Console stuff. As far as I know, no one downloads previously owned games (because to me, it's ridiculous).

I see your point, but component cables and the classic and/or GCN controllers can improve some games.  At least that's the way I see SM64.

Well, it's useful if you own the game but the console is broken. Or if you would rather have many of your games on one console.

As for me, I've only downloaded SMB, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Bonk's Adventure. I also have 100 Wii Points left.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

I would download games that may lose data easily, like SMW, so you can have all the evidence when you gloat about beating the special world.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

I have so far bought Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I would definitely not buy a game I already own, though SMB sort of falls under that category. I own the original game (though the NES doesn't work) SMAS, SMBDX, and a Game Boy Advance Movie Player that enables me to play SMB through emulation, so by this reasoning I shouldn't have gotten it... but it's the only way I can play the original SMB, on a TV, with no changes.Muh.
Link to the Past is a game I don't (but should) have for the SNES. But since I don't, I took advantage of the Virtual Console. And of what's been released there's nothing I really want... but I do have 700 points.
All your dreeeeeeams begiiin to shatterrrrrr~
It's YOUR problem!

Gunstar Heroes because I never got around to buying Gunstar Super Heroes.

Mario Kart 64 because it's the only Mario Kart I don't already own.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

None yet, (not having a Wii at this time) but I'm hoping to eventually obtain Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, F-Zero and LoZ:LttP.
If my son could decimate Lego cities with his genitals, I'd be [darn] proud.

Gunstar Heroes, I loved playing as a kid, and it took me so long to even find out what it was called, being able to own it for VC rocks!
Also Simcity, that's fun
But Ecco the Dolphin is really HARD! I'm stuck on the last level... I'll beat it someday...
I would buy SMW, But I kind of wish that it would be SMAS+SMW instead >_>

F-Zero, Bonk's Adventure, Super Star Solider, Gunstar Heroes, Contra III: The Alien Wars

Contra III is currently unplayable because I don't own a Classic Controller. b:(

I have Wario's Woods, Mario Bros., and Super Mario 64.

I have Wario's Woods because I never got to play it before, and it's quite a bit of fun. Mario Bros. because although I have the new junk on the GBA I've never played Mario Bros. on a TV. It's always fun with two players and you can make an awesome strategy on defeating the monsters. Super Mario 64 because I only had SM64DS and I've only gotten to play a little bit on the original on some of my friends systems. (I've never had a N64 in my life.)
I'm a horrible person.

I don't have Wii points yet, but once I do, I'll probably get Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, and Super Mario World.

Added today's new downloads.  I got Kirby's Adventure too.

I could go for Kirby, especially at 5 US dollars.
It's to bad that there's tax added on in US dollars when you buy points with Canadian Dollars >_>;
It ups the price
