I've noticed this weird thing. In each Mario series (excluding the first Super Mario Bros. in the Super Mario Bros. series), he runs differently. In SMB 2 & 3, he runs with his arms bent on each side and they stay still, and he tilts his body. In the Smash Bros. series, he bends his back and runs rather normally. In the 3D series, his arms are straight out to the sides and he bends his forearms as he runs. What running style is your favorite?

Well, part of the reasons he runs various ways is mostly because of graphical limitations (or lack thereof), but I think the 3Ds take the cake, for obvious reasons.

I'm gonna go with Super Smash Bros. for realism. No one can move their legs as fast as Mario does in Super Mario 64.

How do you consider SMB2 and SMB3 to have the same running style? The animation is completely different.
SMB3 wins anyway.

They are pretty much. Mario runs with his arms to the side, bent, and moves his legs in SMB2, so I consider it the same.

Seeing Mario run for the first time on the top of the beanstalk was possibly one of my most favorite moments in all of my video gaming endeavors. SMB for sure.

You can't have a poll without the awesome SMW "speeding bullet" style running. If that was here, I would vote for it.

I voted for 3D Mario games. Smash Bros. in second, but I like Galaxy's "airplane" style of running than Smash Bros. "tucked head" running.
