Music games haven't been popular since 2008. Gamers of the 2020s will view them like we view R.O.B.
said noted expert on the subject, WeeGee. Or was he the guy who got The Beatles: Rock Band and played it a couple times on Easy. I forget. But anyone who thinks rhythm gaming isn't popular obviously has their oblivious head stuck in the sand regarding the fervent Dance Central love going on right now.

GH did not die today, like everybody's saying. GH died in 2007. The thing that existed after was a zombie.

Neither are mine Warp. It's not like Activision showed up at my house and broke my Guitar Hero 3 disc (the last good GH game).

Well, the competition was getting embarrassing, anyway. These things come and go.

How well did Dance Central sell?

And yes, Guitar Hero died as a game shortly after Activision decided a brand and a peripheral maker were worth more than a developer, but I said "franchise" - you know, the things Activision loves to exploit.

And bobman, obviously I was talking about new releases.

My point is, I'm not sure many people will miss GH, no one's playing it anymore anyway.

Yes, retail sales have been down for quite some time. That's why Guitar Hero is dead.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Rock Band after the recent sale of Harmonix, but it was never big at retail anyway - that series mostly runs on song sales.

Marvel vs. Capcom, Contra: Hard Corps, and Tactics Ogre? WHAT YEAR AM I IN?

Also this week we have the hilariously misleadingly named Gears of War Triple Pack and the JRPG Hyperdimension Neptunia, a game about a PS3, 360, and Wii teaming up to save the world from the R4 DS piracy device (I'm not joking).

**** the Knicks!

That sounds awesome! It has to be for all three consoles, though.
The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

So glad I don't have a 360, DS, or PS3 this week. I can barely afford Tactics Ogre as it is, and I don't have nearly enough time to play that, two other RPGs, a fighting game, a versus shmup, and a new Contra.

Holy [dukar], LD isn't kidding. No doubt Nintendo and Microsoft will get their jimmies rustled over it.

DQVI is the first game I've been anticipating this year. After all...
