I think they should be fighting each other instead of making peace. That'd be more fun to watch.

In Japan, they actually had a televised birthday party for a video game character!?

Jeez, I'll never understand the Japanese. Unless it was just a commercial. Still, pretty cool. I see Sonic is still pretty young.

I agree.

Mario: Hey, Sonic! I just dropped by to wish you a happy B-Day!

Sonic: ... *Leaning over to the cameraman, whispering* Who invited him?

Mario: C'mon, Sonic! Let's be friends!

Sonic: You killed my company.

Mario: Actually, Sony killed Sega.

Sonic: Did not!

Mario: Did too!

Sonic: Did not!

Mario: Did too!

*Sonic & Mario start physically fighting*

That would be awesome.

Dude, that's exactly what it was. A televised birthday party commercial for Sonic.
That was a joke.

They did a similar thing for Micky Mouse here in the USA.

What, Mario showed up for that too?
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

No, I was just drawing a comparison. Televised birthday specials for fictional characters aren't limited to Japan, you know.

Naw, I think if they fought, it would be boring. I've seen enough of that in flash.
Luigison: Question everything!
Me: Why?

I like how people are too stubborn to see that Mario and Sonic aren't rivals anymore. They can be friends. If Nintendo and Sega decided to make a game featuring both characters I'd actually be very interested.

I once made a topic about that. Everyone seemed to be opposed to the idea.

Oh, yeah I remember that one, or was it just the storyline?

This kind of attitude is the reason we don't get all the cool videogame action that Japan does.

True, true. I really wanted to see Rythem Heaven stateside, and a lot of people wanted Earthbound 2, I hear. There's tons of other games I wanted Nintendo to translate into english, but we'll probably never see. Kinda sad, actuallly.

If Crash Bandicoot showed up drunk bragging about his games, that would be great.
