At this point, they had better put Mega Man in.
That was a joke.

I want to see Petey Piranha become a secretly playable character.

Sega allowed it as a return favor for letting them use Mario in the Olympic game. I'm certain of it.

This makes no logical sense.

I have ANGST because I have a bad habit of misspelling something whenever I'm excited. It's even more embarrassing when others point it out, 'cause it  makes me look like I'm ignorant or unintelligent.

I have ANGST because I wanted it to stay uncorrected, like LD wants funny typos to stay uncorrected.

No.

If any Capcom character deserves that last spot it should be Ryu. He's a staple to the fighting game genre.
As a game that requires six friends, an HDTV, and skill, I can see why the majority of TMK is going to hate on it hard.

No.

It's bad enough I have to hear HADOUKEN! Every 5 seconds while playing Street fighter. Plus, he seems almost too much like a fighting character for SSBB. Also, he's a 2-D character, and this is a 3-D game. Mega Man would be a pretty neat character though.

I would definitely not mind hearing Hadokens being executed all the time. But Mega Man is much more suited to Smash Bros. (Or is he? Shoryuken would be a great double jump. Ah well, Mega Man can Shoryuken too.)
Anyway, I don't know how Ryu is a staple to the genre, considering 80% of fighting games don't contain him.
That was a joke.

Yeah, no 2-D characters allowed in Smash Bros., especially not Dr. Mario, Ness, Ice Climbers, Marth, Roy, or Mr. Game & Watch.

Is that a real statistic? If so, I want mathematical evidence!
<Kojinka> When I saw this thread back on top, I was afraid this was gonna be another pointless bump by a new member, but when I saw Super-Jesse's username, my fears were laid to rest.

He's faced Marvel Comics characters, a roster of SNK's character's, and a couple of Namco's character's, and look at any other fighting game. 9 out of 10 times you will see some character heavily inspired by Ryu. He may not physically be in every fighting game, but Capcom obviously set the standards years before any other company did.

Mega Man and Ryu are both equally freaking awesome, but if they were going to put in only one Capcom character, I'd rather have Mega Man.
What's your problem, Cambodian?

If SSBB is going to have Mega Man in it, it should have Master Chief in it. And Gordon Freeman. And Cthulhu, for good measure.
