That's the first post on this page, and I must say I was somewhat nervous to go back and see what you were referring to.

Okay, while I finally managed to get online (elsewhere) with my PS3 and buy some stuff/get system updates, something happened along the way that made it so I couldn't get some of the stuff I'd downloaded earlier (LBP add-ons). That's it in a nutshell, really, but it's far more complex and I'm fairly concerned.

Yeah, I said something when I left #tmk last night about being back in a few...turns out it'll be days rather than minutes. While we were in town getting a new router, ridiculous winds and storming struck the area. Apparently it blew our dish off-kilter - meaning no Internet until a serviceman comes out and realigns it, which won't happen until the end of the week at the earliest. Sigh.

Oh, also, Space Siege decided it wanted to stop working after I ran it once, so I have to download a no-CD patch to get it running. I also need at least one for Command & Conquer: The First Decade to run most of the contents of the compilation on here (I can run the original game, its expansion missions, Red Alert 2, and Renegade, but no other games or expansions).

My 18 year old niece died on Monday. I never got to know her well but it's still so sad and my sister is devastated.

But it puts so much into perspective. She had just graduated and went to prom and was living life and just like that, she's gone.

You know, not to act as some sort of automated guilt-dispenser, but Pt_Peach's last comment really exemplified how trivial many of these ANGSTs are in the broader scope of life.

On that note, that's really sad to hear, Pt. On behalf of myself and others who have yet to say so, our condolences.
