They're going to be different, about that I'm fairly certain.  Peter Laird's always wanted new voice actors.  They'll sound like they're from New York this time around, I'm thinking, intead of California.

When I said Saban, it was sort of an inside joke.  You know, NT:TNM?  That show was awful! I love the Turtles in any way, shape or form, but that was a bit too much...

No problem... lessee, the Turtles...

Well, April had left town for California, and Casey followed her.  Splinter went off to meditate, leaving the turtles aimless.  Without their master, the turtles had no guidance, and none of them could figure out what they should be doing.  As it was, the Foot still often terrorized them (as Raphael said, "The head's dead but the body's till kickin'!"- "the head" being Shredder).  One day they found themselves stopping a mugging, and they realized that they had been reduced to the neighborhood watch.  But then came that violent street war...

That's enough for today... I'm tired from work.  Sorry to leave you hanging, but nothing really cool has happened quite yet!  Tomorrow, then...

The only character who came back after dying was the Shredder.  The reason I'm not totally sure Rat King's dead is I'm not totally sure that that was his body.  As for City at War, I'm too tired to talk about it tonight, plus, it's pretty complex and I wouldn't know where to start!  Pick one of these characters, and I'll tell you their story tomorrow.

1. The Turtles
2. Casey Jones
3. April O' Neil
4. Splinter

They're all pretty good- I mostly recommend Casey's or the Turtles'... the others aren't as action-packed.

Oh, yeah! Rat King came back a few times too, but I'm pretty sure he's dead.

Main opponent?  There are many... It's hard to have a great story with just one opponent.

The Foot's more or less #1, as they continue to plague the turtles after their master is dead (until City at War, the absolute best story arc ever- maybe i'll talk about that later).

As the Mirage series was originally done by many different guest artists, there wasn't much of a continuing storyline or recurring villians.  Ones that did come back at least once which I remember were:

1. Savanti Romero
2. Leatherhead (?-sort of an enemy, sort of not)
3. Baxter Stockman (came back in volume 2- the color series)

All in all, not too many recurring enemies existed in the Mirage series.  Lots of good guys come back, but baddies tend to stay dead.  In the new series (10 years later), the Foot is coming back next issue, so I guess the Foot is the main enemy (Even though Karai gave her word!!!!)

Donatello (sort of) killed the Shredder the FIRST time.  That was really a group effort though, as Donatello certainly didn't wear him down himself.
DON: This is the end for you, Shred-- OOF!
SHREDDER: You are overconfident, fool!

...Yeah.  In the end, though, Don knocked him off the building and his thermite grenade exploded in his hand before he could use it for anything damaging to our heroes.

However, by using a blend of ancient Japanese magic and science, the Foot clan was able to resurrect their master.  They found all of the Shredder's pieces, had worms eat them, did some tests, cloned the DNA, and ended up with four Shredders- well, one real Shredder, and three freaks, made from the worms that were dressed like Shredder.  The turtles confronted these guys, but just as the fight got underway, Raph said, "Saki is mine!"  Leo said he couldn't, they have to stay together, and chased him, leaving Mike and Don to deal with midget Shredder, lobster-claw Shredder and humongo four-armed Shredder (who were all good fighters, despite their looks... and they were later joined by more Foot members, including Shredder elite guards and other good fighters)  Leo found Raph just about to be killed by a Shredder elite guard.  He reprimanded Raph about how they were taught to stay together and told him to go help his brothers.  Meanwhile, Leo took on the Shredder...

The fight was great.  If you wanna see it for yourself, hunt down Mirage #21.  It ends with a huge explosion.  The turtles think Leo is dead, but then, he comes in with a bodybag and proclaims: "Oroku Saki... The Shredder... is dead.  It's finished.  Our destiny is complete.  We have... one final task..."  So they burned the body and stuck the mask on a flagpole, and lived happily ever after... except for the Foot's constant attacks, but that story can wait for another time.

That... is a REALLY difficult question.  I pretty much like all of them equally.  I guess I see a lot of my own personal qualities in Mike and Don, although I've been a lot on the Raph side lately.  I don't have leadership skills, but I admire Leo's, as well as his fighting ability (He is the one who killed the Shredder, one on one).

3-way tie:
1. Shredder, of course.
2. Lord Dregg- back in '96 I just loved to hate this guy!
3. Savanti Romero- he is a crazy, time-travelling jerk, but he looks cool!  He was only in about 2 comics, i fmemory serves me right- #8 and Tales of the TMNT #7.

The Image series wasn't set in the future- it came after the Mirage color series.  It was pretty bad, though, unless you wanna read about 3 mutilated turtles and Michelangelo's adventures in babysitting.

Samurais used swords and armor and a lot of stuff, but the problem with that stuff was that it was really expensive.  In order to cut down on the military spending, many governments made it so regular poor folk could fight.  That's where bow and arrows come from.  Nice, cheap, deadly materials- it brought killing people to a whole new level!

I'm sure there's different types of sais for different uses.  I've also seen the type with the curved prongs on the side.  Perhaps those are for stabbing people to the right or left of you while you block swords.

Oh, and sais do have sharp tips- those prongs, the long ones in the middle.  And some artists drew all three prongs as being sharp-tipped.  He stabbed quite a few people in the comic, and one time he was "having some fun" with a terrorist type of guy.
