A new stage has been revealed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Yoshi's Island.  Taking the hand-drawn look to a new level, the Yoshi's Island stage looks like a watercolor painting.  The stage is composed of a main platform, an elevated tilting platform, and smaller platforms that periodically appear thanks to Support Ghosts.  Fly Guys also travel across the stage.  The stage cycles through seasons and even the weather changes during battle.  Check the link below for screenshots.

Those Support Ghosts were the creepiest platforms I've ever seen... besides Dorrie from SM64. Anyways, it looks awesome. They did a good job turning the beauty that is Yoshi's Island into 3D, without making it look horrible.
I'm a horrible person.

It does look like a natural extension of the YI environment. Which is awfully cool.
That was a joke.

Do you think hitting the Support Ghost will make it lower its platform?
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

The stages in this game are awfully small, just look at Fox's stage from November! Not much to have an all-out brawl. But I'm a sucker for YI's hand drawn levels and background's.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Small? It looks decently large.
Finally, some Yoshi's Island in Super Smash Bros. If that music that was revealed earlier isn't for this stage then you can count on a Yoshi's Story stage, also...

Kinda a puny, boring-looking stage, but the hand-drawn look is awesome.

I thought it looked small and boring too at first, but if you read the descriptions, it sounds like there will be a fair amount of interactivity that can't be captured by screenshots.

Simply adorable. And it was about time they made a YI stage. Seriously. It's always about YS, never YI.

Uh, hello? All-out brawls happen on small stages, not large stages where people can run and hide.

Remember Temple from Melee?  That stage was huge!

Why would you hate it? Just make everyone giant if you think It's bad, That's my favorite stage! I have all these shoot outs with Fox, Falco, Samus, and projectile items!

Yeah, all-out brawls do not happen at Hyrule Temple. Every one is far away and attacks each other infrequently.
If someone remixes Flower Garden from YI I will freak out with happiness.
That was a joke.

Blugh Temple. It's only good for laughing when everyone goes down to the "underground" part and stays alive with 500% damage... it sucks for 1-P CPU fights because A. there's no one at/with which to laugh, and B. the idiot AI makes the CPU drop everything it's doing to walk over to the top right corner of the stage for a strawberry.

Or if you play Pikachu and fry everybody on the top tier, and then have them chase you in circles when they get mad.

Whenever I play on that stage (usually because of Random), I just stand on the little platform in the bottom right in order to quickly determine the victor.

You could turn it off in the Random Stage select option...

My favorite event match is in Hyrule Temple, though. Well, one of my two favorites. I believe I'm referring to Fire Emblem Pride. It's very cool to be able to repeatedly ram someone into the tunnels at the bottom and watch them rack up massive damage. It's also cool to be able to be damaged massively and still be ready for more. Also it's fun to go/send someone flying into the upper reaches of the stage and come back down to be smacked harder.
That was a joke.

Which song is Flower Garden? (I probably know which one it is, but am not aware of actual names..)

A couple of my favorite songs from YI are the song heard when fighting some of the halfway bosses (like in world 1-4, or Prince Froggy's fort) and the one first heard in World 1-5 (and in other such levels, like the later skiing level). YI was full of awesome music, though. :D
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

1-5 is the Donut Lifts one, right? I'd flip if that got orchestrated and remixed for SSBB... Like, flip a burger or a coin or something.

Flower Garden is the main overworld theme with the thumping beat and catchy groove. And sweet bassline.
That was a joke.

I thought Overworld was the main overworld theme. But yes, Flower Garden is the superior YI song. That includes you, Athletic theme.

I just remembered how great the Underground theme was, also. Not so suitable for Smashing though.

Yeah, that Flower Garden/YI is definitely infectious (search "2001 Elastic New Year" on www.ocremix.org for an awesome remix).

Decent remix, but not groovy enough for me. Needs major thump like http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00629/
