On today, September 19, 2013, Hiroshi Yamauchi, former President of Nintendo, has passed away at the age of 85 due to pneumonia. R.I.P to a very significant man in Nintendo's history who helped form the company into what it is today.

Apparently someone hacked into Miiverse and found some test messages from Nintendo developers that mentioned Yoshi's Land, a currently unannounced game. Additionally, several retailers have listings for the game. To me this is great news, and hopefully we'll finally get a 3D Yoshi adventure!

What does everyone else think?

Video Game Chat / Sidescrolling Beat 'em up games

Beat 'Em Ups are some of my favorite games, especially classic sidescrolling ones like Final Fight and Streets of Rage 2. Does anyone know of any recent games that are like this? It seems like they've mostly been abandoned for the sidescrolling action RPGs with leveling up and other stuff.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine - Completing Four Episodes Without the Hover Nozzle

Hello everyone! This was requested by another YouTube member after he watched a stream of someone doing a Hover Nozzle-less run. Unfortunately, the player doing the stream got stuck on these four Episodes, so the other member asked me to make this video showing how to beat them without using the Hover Nozzle. Enjoy!

The real title of this video should be "Super Mario Sunshine - Completing The Goopy Inferno, Corona Mountain, Red Coins in a Bottle, and Eely-Mouth's Dentist Without the Hover Nozzle," but YouTube wouldn't let me make the name that long.

Video Game Chat / Rumor: New 3DS Model Coming Out in 2012

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but it seems logical for Nintendo to make this move, considering 3DS sales have dropped a lot. I would expect it to cost about as much as a normal 3DS. The addition of another Circle Pad sounds pretty good too.

I'm sorry this video took me so long to make, but I was away at college. This was requested by Weegee:

"Beat "the Goopy Inferno" from Super Mario Sunshine in under a minute... while holding the controller's C Stick all the way to the right, for the entire time. It might be advisable to use tape to hold the C Stick off-centre."

Weegee never mentioned anything about using the L Button, but I decided not to use it anyway.

Mario Chat / Tanooki Suit Confirmed for Super Mario 3DS

Miyamoto officially confirmed that "Super Mario" for the 3DS will contain the Tanooki Suit and be a combination of Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario 64. Furthermore, the game is slated for release sometime this year.

Due to my house being reorganized it was about impossible to find a roll of Scotch tape, making Weegee's request undoable without strenuous hours of practice that I can easily avoid. As a result, I uploaded something else. It's not ground breaking or anything, but it's an entertaining watch nonetheless. The title should explain it all.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine - Roof of Hotel Delfino (Theory)

Hey! Does anyone have an Action Replay for Gamecube? If so, does that person think he/she can moonjump onto the roof of Hotel Delfino (from outside) and see if you can stand on it? I've been trying to get on top of it using various methods: I got a barrel onto the "Hotel Delfino" sign on the second floor and jumped off it, but even with having that maximum ground to stand on and wallkicking off the wall of the hotel, I cannot get on top. However, as I went higher, I noticed that most of the roof isn't solid. Therefore, I concluded that the roof itself was not solid, but I'd just like someone to confirm that for me. Whoever does this, please let me know as soon as you can; thanks!

Video Game Chat / Two New Kirby Games!

Check this out! It looks a lot like that Gamecube Kirby game that they never released! I hope you can still have three partners!

Anyway, there are some interesting things to point out here. First is the "Whip" ability, where Kirby is wearing a cowboy hat. Second is the fact that if you inhale a bunch of enemies, you get a life! It's about time they rewarded you for doing something like that! On top of that, you can spit out a GIANT star after you inhaled all those enemies. The most interesting thing is that they brought back the health bar from Kirby Super Star!

This game looks great! They definitely got my money on this one!

EDIT: There's yet ANOTHER new Kirby game coming out for the DS! Look at 3:00 in this video! 2011 seems like it's going to be a very good year indeed!

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine - The Secret of Ricco Tower Red Coins in 32.79 Seconds

Hello everyone! Remember that other topic I posted about beating the world record for collecting all of the Red Coins in the Secret of Ricco Tower? Well, I have good news: I got home from college for winter break, and I just finished recording it! This time, though, I beat my other record by an astonishing 90 hundredths of a second, making the final time 57:21! Without further ado, enjoy the video!
