I made mine so it doesn't have a specifiec name brand, but I use AMD processors so I put a custom "AMD Speed Phreak" CPU sticker on it.

My next computer will probably be a Shuttle mini with dual monitor and s-video out.

I also hope to have two flat screen monitors, a natural wireless keyboard and mouse, wireless Linksys network card, DVD/CD-rom drive, Media center w/ Sony flash slot.  I will use with the two monitors in my study for software development, and in my living room and the big screen TV for games and testing.  I'm current researching operating systems.  I know Windows XP and Mandrake Linus work on the system fine, but I may do a dual boot Windows Media Center and Linux (version unknown now).  My only problem with this system is that it doesn't have a parallel port.  I know that port is out dated, but it is the only port I can use for Game Boy Advance development since I use a non-official SDK.  If I could get the official Nintendo SDK for GBA (and DS since I am dreaming) I would be a very happy person.

Luigison, if you're thinking of a Shuttle, how about getting this?  (It was just announced).  It looks like a cross between a Panasonic Q and a toaster.  See here: IWILL ZMAXdp.  For the parallel connection, can't you just get a parallel-USB adapter?  Also, if you're buying from TigerDirect, can you use this link?

I probably have the oldest computer of anyone here. My old computer was something like 16 Megahertz and the hard drive was around 40 Megabytes. No internet on that one and it ran Mac OS 7. The reason I bring it up is because I just got it out after someone told me to take the battery out if I'm storing it long term. It was actually an easy fix--the cover just snaps on and off of the computer and the battery is in a regular battery socket! (My old computer was a Macintosh LC)

Actually I'd say Abercrombie's computer might be younger than mine, though they were made the same year.

 - Processor: PowerPC G3
 - Processor Speed:  500 MHz
 - RAM: Originally 128 MB, but I upped it to 384 MB about 3 years ago.
 - Hard Disk Size: 25~27 GB
 - Internet Speed: I just know that I have cable, I don't know the actual speed. :D
 - Preferred Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768, it's the maximum, actually.
 - Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4.8, but I can switch it over to Mac OS 9.2.2 if I ever need to, which is rare.

It might be younger, mine came in August 2000...

I did a little research and here are the specs for my OLD computer (the Macintosh LC)...was cleaning out and moved the boxes, found the original manual there...

 - Processor: Motorola 68020
 - Processor Speed: 16 Megahertz
 - RAM: 10 Megabytes (came with 2)
 - Hard Disk Size: 40 Megabytes
 - Internet Speed: None
 - Preferred Screen Resolution: 512 by 384 (my monitor was only 12 inches!)
 - Operating System(s): Mac OS 7 but it came with OS 6
