Reminds me of when I get customers at work who are totally up for signing up for a store credit card, until they find out they have to give their Social Security Number (as required by federal law). I once had a customer say they didn't want to give out their SSN because "I don't want the government to get it." I think another customer specifically referred to Obama trying to steal their SSN.
Americans really have no idea how governments work do they.
