Title: super mario 64.
Post by: bladeofLUIGl on April 27, 2004, 11:57:56 AM
although it is an old game, it is still fun. I beat the game with 120 stars, I wanted to wander around the castle looking at every sign, killing every boo, climbing every tree, but I found one sign after I killed every boo. (Remember this was discovered by me Patrick Myers.) it was the one in the garden, I pressed c up, and guess what I read, "L is REAL 2041". I couldnt read under that. If anyone can help please post, or e-mail me at gamemasterpat@hotmail.com
 please help.

There has many speculation about this sign, many others have read it as "enternal star 2041" This sign has said to have appeared in many other of shigsy's games, such as: doshin the giant, animal crossing, and the zelda series for N64. there has also been a sign in the boneyard of luigi's mansion that says "SKELETON IS BURIED IN HELL" but when you scan it with your game boy horror it say "Skeleton rests here be QUIET!!!!" Is this just the kind of thing somone with too much time on there hands whould do? Or is some kind of message? the world may never know...

come on! Someone has to investigate about this. Maybe (gasp!) other mario64 games have different messages, but I am looking at it right now I'm 100% positive it says L is real 2041. Under that I decifered a word, the last word is "or". Something is with the system. Is there any way we can talk to nintendo? Does anyone know there address? We could give them a letter.

Skeleton is buried here

Eternal star

something something something

This mailbag (at the bottom) shows the same star plaque in Ocarina of Time.

Obviously, you are a new recruit and haven't been on the Mario scene for more than two seconds.

Let me start out by saying that you are the dumbest idiot (in a sarcastic/hyperbole type tone, of course; not mean).

"although it is an old game, it is still fun."

It isn't that old of a game. it's fun though; I'll give you that.

"I beat the game with 120 stars, I wanted to wander around the castle looking at every sign, killing every boo, climbing every tree, but I found one sign after I killed every boo."

You don't have to kill everything; just walk up to it and look.

"(Remember this was discovered by me Patrick Myers.)"

(Remember also that this was found probably SIX years ago when the game first came out. I'll give you one thing good; my first name is Patrick, also. Oh, and I use MSN, too.

*starts whistling the first seven notes of It's a Small World After All insanely*

"'L is REAL 2041'. I couldnt read under that. If anyone can help please post, or e-mail me at gamemasterpat@hotmail.com
please help."

Gah, everyone says that it says, "L is real 2041." PLEASE READ: IT IS A BUNCH OF GIBBERISH TALK; it is not a secret message to get in the Super Mario Club over at NOJ, mkah?!

Help with what?

Let's go through why the sign just can't read that Luigi is real.
-If the sign said Luigi is real 2041, then
1. Luigi is unlockable somewhere in the game, supposedly
2. The same sign is found in the Ocarina of Time
3. Because the sign supposedly says Luigi is real 2041, Luigi is, by logic, in the Ocarina of Time.  Which, of course, is not possible.  Unless you count the one in the window of the castle.  Was Luigi's picture even there?

Oh, and that says "Skeleton is buried here."

I am so reporting you, trainer guy. No swearing. (read the rules) I may be new, but I read the rules. You have 24 hours to reply, begging me not to report you. Now with close examination, you will see an L as the first letter. Eternal star is to big. I do not take credit for what was found 6 years ago. I do take credit for finding it. Also, the game was made in about 1996. You are crazy about zelda, most people know that the lonlon bros are lookalikes of mario and luigi. There is a painting of more than just luigi, but also mario, yoshi, etc. where was L is real in it anyway?

Because you clicked the "Reply To Topic" button twice, and because of these primitive forums, the number of posts that appears depends on how many times you clicked the "Reply To Topic" button.

You know what I think? I made my 6th enemy named Patrick. The monument must mean something. If you look close enough, its not gibberish. Never call it gibberish or Japanese. I cant blame anyone though, but I found out that the players guide says there is 2045 coins in the game. I have no idea why they call it, eternall star. You know how every 100 coins in a level, well what if you get all the coins? Will we get anything better? Worth thinking about.

Post by: Trainman on April 28, 2004, 09:49:26 PM
ENEMY?! I don't want to be your enemy. I never intended that to happen. I was just giving you firm, true points. I'm sorry if you don't like them, but they are true. I don't want you to be driven away because of something I might have said; I try to encourage people to stay.

"I am so reporting you, trainer guy."

Try TRAINMAN, not trainer guy.

"No swearing. (read the rules) I may be new, but I read the rules."

Yeah, I read the rules, NINE MONTHS AGO when I joined. I often have to state the rules sometimes to people who don't get it, so don't worry. But wait, where did I swear? I didn't see any swearing content in my post. No reporting will be necessary. Everyone knows each other here and knows that I'm not saying anything offensive so the mods won't lay a finger on me.

"You have 24 hours to reply, begging me not to report you.'

Now, again, report me FOR WHAT? I won't beg; I'll ENCOURAGE that you do. I just want to see what people will say. I have said nothing and I will see that I am not touched.

"Eternal star is to big."

What's that supposed to mean? So you're saying that since the words "eternal star" are in a supposed large font, it means that it doesn't say "eternal star?"

"I do not take credit for what was found 6 years ago. I do take credit for finding it."

Uh, what was found six years ago and what you just found are the same. So, why are you taking credit for finding it if someone already did 8 years ago when the game first came out? (Well, maybe not 8 if no one realized the gibberish until a later date...)

"Also, the game was made in about 1996."

Yeah, I realized that. So the guy who found it found it 7-8 years ago instead of 6. Even better...

"You are crazy about zelda..."

I never mentioned that in my post. I don't know if this post is a reply post to everyone who has posted in your thread in a poorly organized post.

"... most people know that the lonlon bros are lookalikes of mario and luigi."

Yeah, everyone knows that. Everyone even knows MORE about it. Did you know that the LonLon 'bros.' (and Malon) wear Bowser shaped medallions around their necks and that there are pics of the Mario cast at Hyrule Castle?

"where was L is real in it anyway?"

In the mailbag, wouldn't it mentioned that it was a ROM or something that that was from? luigifan, check the mailbag link Deezer has a few posts above mine to figure out where it came.

OKEYDOKE. *WHEW* TIRED OF TYPING... SO TIRED...

Oh wait!!! I just realized something from my shouting above. THAT is what luigifan must've meant when he said I broke a rule. He must've mistaken the swearing for shouting (God knows how he did that...) Let me advise you luigifan that that rule is a loose definition. What he is meaning (in my mind and opinion, at least) is that you don't need to shout a whole post like, "HEY HOW ARE U DOING I FOUND A MARIO GLITCH WHEN U RUN INTO A GOOMBA YOU DIE" or shout for a long period of time. What I'm, probably trying to get out is that you may capitalize words, phrases, or sentences that need emphasise or are important to being read. So, there you have it.

Umm, why wouldn't it be in Japanese? Most games are in Japanese before they're translated to English.

Someone in the mailbag once gave evidence that conviced me, stuff like the length of words and so forth.

And lots of stuff like menus and signs are still in English in Japanese games, like that sign in Luigi's Mansion.

Title: Re: super mario 64.
Post by: Forest Guy on April 29, 2004, 02:01:46 PM
Ok, first off, Trainman did not swear. The term "idiot" is not a swear and unless we're 3 years old, I wouldn't even consider it a "bad word."

If you think that little normal post Trainman made was bad, you should see some of the stuff that the evil members of the forums did...

The meaning of Trainman's name is that he likes trains(the noun), not that he likes to train (the verb).

It has been said but I'll restate it, Luigi is not in the game.

The sign doesn't have to say anything. You have no proof showing that it actually says something.

All right. I feel incredibly stupid. Can we swear at ourselves? I dont know the rules as well as you guys. Now, I'd first like to say, that I was completely right about L is real. The people who called it gibberish, were wrong. I believe on the second page I was proven correct. Now trainman, I am new to message boards and chatrooms, because I use to only play videogames. I considered idiot a swear word wich is very stupid of me. I just hate that word. OH, no one here knows me that well, but I am 13, going through a tough time at school. My birthday is april 5th, 1991 and in about one month, I am out of school and into summer. Trainman sorry for hating you, but I hope were not enemys in the future. I dont hate you anymore. Do NOT act innocent, though. You did call me an idiot, (I know, I know, not a swear word.) But that was a first impression. I thought you hated me. Back to the subject, why does it say L is real though? Why is it saying Eternal star? I dont get it. Does everybody know me enough, or did I give out to much info. Are all you guys adults? Are all you guys about my age? Are you still mad at me trainman?

Thank you, Popple. I was just about to mention that.

luigifan, I'm not mad at you and I never was wanting to be mad at you for any reason. See, a week ago or so, I said, "You are the dumbest idiot" to someone and a lot of people liked it, so I made it my signature. I have changed my sig, (obviously, as you can see) and "You are the dumbest idiot" is now my trademark phrase. It was not intended to be taken seriously or hurt anyone's feelings.

We clear on this now? *puts out hand to shake*

I don't think Luigi's in the game.  Maybe he is, but it isn't THAT important.  I've completely beaten that game to a pulp and never found him, so I don't think he's in it.  For the believers, don't go crazy if you never find him, some mysteries are better left unsolved... like how they get the hot dog inside the corny exterior of a corn dog...

Closed case. Answere= We dont know.. All we know so far, is that, there is only one way to get him. Japan/Blackmarket/ebay. A kid told me we could buy this chip to alter Mario. You can alter his clothes to green, make him taller, and change the M on his hat to an L. you can make him look really fat, you control everything in the game.(you can screw around with other games to.) Besides that, all we know is Luigi is Not in the game. I guess I needed this site to learn this. I also learned that I should'nt be here. I am a liar and I make riots. Trainman should've hated me. The image I posted above on the fake Nintendo.com site is of course fake, but you can play as Luigi in the DS version  of SM64 called Super Mario 64x4.

Second one, Popple, but that's my opinion. It could be whatever you want it to be.

"Now, I'd first like to say, that I was completely right about L is real. The people who called it gibberish, were wrong. I believe on the second page I was proven correct."

Hahahhahahahhahhahhahaahahaha.

"Now trainman, I am new to message boards and chatrooms, because I use to only play videogames."

I noticed. I play video games more than coming to here, I believe, and I got along fine. Actually, I remember my first post ever as asking Lizard Dude if he could play a Tuba in his "Lizard Dude LIVE" thread.

"I considered idiot a swear word wich is very stupid of me."

See first response. It starts with "H" and ends in "ahahhahahahhahhahhahaahahaha.

"I just hate that word."

Quite the contrary; I love that word.

"Do NOT act innocent, though."

Innocent about what...? You're treating it as if I have been acting innocent. Well, maybe I was, or something, or maybe this is a dream and I'll wake up back in Kindergarten, or maybe this is a 4th dimension we're in or...

"You did call me an idiot..."

Yes... yes I did... and it was funny.

"But that was a first impression. I thought you hated me."

If you would like to refer back to Popple and my post... you would know.

"Does everybody know me enough, or did I give out to much info."

Doesn't matter much.

"Are all you guys adults?"

Nah, Luigison is oldest in his early 30's; correct, Luigison?

"Are all you guys about my age?"

Well, yes. We have 11 year olds through 30 year olds, and yes, there are plenty of people (maybe too many because the level of immaturity nowadays [I'm not innocent all the time about that], but don't feel uncomfortable. We're all friends.

"Are you still mad at me trainman?"

*takes in deep breath and holds it for a sec*

No.

Yes, I am 14 and I act how I act. I don't anything to be taken seriously (you'll know when I'm serious most of the time). Maybe rarely... people interpret things incorrectly making me seem like I jerk, but I'm not. I'm being "meaner" lately because of freakin' hormones, I'm supposing.

*starts twitching as soon as the word "hormones" is typed*

AAH, MY POSTS ARE TOO LONG.

I think you pronounce it "Super Mario Sixty-four Times Four"

Uh, Luigifan, the info on it was just released yesterday. The DS isn't out.

Yeah, the board is a wide variety, most people are around 13-14, but then you got some 15 year olds like myself, maybe 11 or 12, up into the 17s give or take a year here and there, and of course, 20 and up with some of the staff and Luigison.

Because he (I assume) is a newbie "Luigi fan".  A lot of people here did similiar things several years ago.  I think he has just now caught up to where we were.  I know when I first came here it was to find out about the Eternal Star sign in SM64 and Ocarina and other trivial/hidden stuff like Luigi in SM64.  After all my user name is Luigison (read Luigisan).

Besides, I now know that Luigi was not in the original SM64 because he had an ingrown toe nail and a stain on his hat at the time of the games production.  He received help with this medical problem and dry cleaning issue from someone who later gave him a special vacuum cleaner.  Years later Nintendo was still bitter with him for not being in SM64 over the now famous "Toenail Stain" issue that they did not let him play a role in SMS.  Luckly the Animal Actors Union had settled with Nintendo over the whole Yoshi Story incident so, Yoshi took Luigi's place in SMS.  This had to be done because of the less well known "green clause" which requires every video game to have at least one green character.  It has also been rumored that Mario was so upset over Nintendo's apparent ill will towards his brother that Mario would not play in Mario Party 5.  If you look closely at that game you can tell that most of the acting is cut and paste from of MP titles or a stand-in with voice over was used.  Nintendo now knows full well that if Mario desided to move to a competitor it would be very bad for them.  That is why they have been pushing other characters like Samus, Kirby, DK, etc.  And why they remade SM64 with Luigi and other cast members.  Because if the famous "Mama Mia" isn't happy, no one is.

That's stupid... Just because he's got a stain on his hat and an ingrown nail, does'nt mean you should get rid of him. Just fix him. But it's just a rumor.

You know, here's a thought that nobody seems to want to face: Maybe Nintendo actually has a sense of humor? I mean, they probably thought that writing "L is real" or whatever would be funny. And guess what? IT IS! Here we are, on out eighty-ninth post having a big, (no offense) stupid conversation about something made FOR A JOKE! Imagine. There could be some Nintendo employee laughing his head off and thinking "Throwing in those blurry words, genious! Pure genious! It's eight years (Did I get that right?) after we released SM64, and people are still wondering about Luigi!!! HA HA!!!" I mean, imagine that. Nintendo's beem pulling our leg all this time! Now I want everyone to pretend to be looking in my eyes (My eyes are turquoise, if it helps you imagine) and repeat after me: Luigi does not exist in Super Mario 64 and I will not waste my time looking for him.

Guys! Stop replying to this topic!!!

Luigifan, your post was unnecessary. The thread had died down and was traveling to the thread graveyard. You didn't have to post on it and revive it to ask someone to close it. No one was going to. It was gone.

And my angry post here makes no differnece since this was the highest thread on the list before I posted on it.

As response to what this topic is supposed to be about, I emailed Nintendo about this situation and I got an email saying: Message(#6851-000484-7047\4847047)

Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,

You may have heard this already, but Luigi cannot be found in Super Mario 64.  In addition, we don't have any information regarding "L Is Real 2041"  Also, for future reference, our e-mail group's resources are focused on consumer service issues, rather than game information.  The good news is that we've devoted an abundance of non-e-mail resources to game play information so players can find the help they need!

Sorta ruins the SM64 fun.
Title: Re: super mario 64.
Post by: BP on January 27, 2006, 04:26:13 PM
Oh, that's what the topic was about?
I'm a stickler for the Luigi in SM64 thing. I mean, it's been 10 YEARS now, and have you found him? Is there a single working cheat on the internet? No, to both questions.

Sorry to bump a 7 month old topic but all you have to do is:
1.Hack the game
2.Go to the backyard
3.Jump in the Silver Star
and voila! You are Luigi!
