Eh, this isn't exactly a very fast forum.  It could take hours or days before someone who'd want to reply to a topic actually does.
Anyway, my favorite character is easy:  Yoshi.  The favorite arena is a bit tougher, though.  Hyrule Temple is a great dueling level, but it's annoying with computers or many players.  I like Deep Brinstar because it's just a great concept (and a decent Yoshi level,) the Fountain of Dreams, while small, is great for a dramatic climax, Big Blue is fun (though a very dangerous Yoshi level) ...
I really like most of them.  Except for a few insufferables, they're all very good, and quite well done.  But I don't think I can name a favorite.

Chao is pronounced CHOW.  If you listen to an Omachao in SA2 in Japanese, you'll hear it say "chao" at the end of every sentence.

Quite interesting.  There's nothing quite like a Mario fan game.  It almost makes me want to finish one of mine.
In your tile bitmap there's every single powerup from Mario 3.  Are you planning to implement them all?  Also, I was getting a bug where a single enemy would hurt twice without any delay.  I don't know if you've fixed that yet, but it was rather annoying.

Alright, the last song is "Mario!  Stay Alert!" from the Super Mario World soundtrack.  TMK conveniently had a page for that CD as well, but I don't think it'll be much easier to get ahold of than the "1 2 3: Hop! Step! Jump!" one.  As much as I'd like to own both albums, I truly doubt that I can find them in time.
If anybody knows any way to obtain them (either on how to download the MP3 files or buy the actual CDs,) do tell.

Okay, through the great amount of help I've recieved here on the forums, I was able to find out that the first two songs are from the CD "Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, 3: Hop! Step! Jump!"  TMK even has a page about the album, and I didn't even know it.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I can get to those songs through any means short of buying the CD, and even that'll prove difficult.
Still (and I'm sure I'll get twice the replies as I did before,) if anybody knows anything about these, or that last song, don't hesitate to let me know...

Some chao toys don't appear in the gardens, but are given directly to the chao.  If he then wants to play with it, he will.

And to plant a seed, you give it to a chao who has both a trowel and a watering can.  He'll do the rest.

Lessee... on the aircraft carrier, near the end, there are a few open compartment things.  The center one contains a chao box.  Use the bounce attack to get to the compartment above it.  The rest should be apparent.

Young link is one of the characters that can wall jump.  Get a good angle, then press away from the wall and jump (I think) the moment you hit it.
