i was wondering...how do you pronnounce Geno? he says his "real" name is hard to pronounce..but is it <jeeno> or <geh-no> or what?

I always thought it Geno was pronounced Jee-no, but I'm not sure.

Anybody know how to pronounce Lakitu? I've always pronounced it Lah-koo-too, but that doesn't match the spelling.

I say Lakitu "Luh-kee-too," but I usually don't call it that.

I know a number of people who persist on pronouncing Lakitu as lah-ku-tah.
As for Geno: I have no idea.

Geno is: Jee-no

Lakitu is: Lah-kee-too

Bob-omb is: Bob-omb (in case anyone was curious)
How do I know this? I am the Mario expert!

Geno says that because his real name is not Geno. Geno is what the little mushroom boy calls his doll before the spirit from the Star Road inhabits it during the night while Mario and crew are asleep. The spirit takes on the name Geno from the doll since his real name is not in their language.

"Lakitoo" is a Japanese word meaning "persistence." Which is weird, because in Japan she's called "Jugem" (meaning "avatar").

I've always pronnounced it Jeeno, LA(as in LAmb)-kih-too, and Bob-Omb <gasp!>.

Okay, then, I'm assuming you looked up "rakitoo" (because there is no "la" in Japanese per se) and "jugemu" (as there is no plain 'M' in Japanese)?

I used to pronounce Lakitu as "Luh-kee-too" also. That is until I noticed it was an "a" in Lakitu instad of a "u".
I pronounce Geno as "Jee-no"

I say Jee-no, because it sounds more like "genie" that "Jeh-no" (which frankly sounds more like jello :p)

Lah-kee-too is my pronunciation for our little cloud dweller. No reason really... it just sounds right...

In Spanish, it's pronunciation would be written Laquitu and Yino. In Catalan (if you know what that is) it would be Laquitu and Jino. In French it would be Laquitou and Gino.
