In SMRPG and Paper Mario, it stood for Flower Points, which was the 'Mario-fied' version of MP(Magic Points), which is fairly common in in RPGs.

I had a feeling FP was like MP, but I wasn't too sure because I havn't played SMRPG or the Paper Mario games. (though I really want to) Yeah, I think in Pokemon, it's known as PP (Power Points).

Name: Tashio
Weapon: Shroom Sword (delivers 5 damage on contact, 3 damage when enemy is hit by the Sword's beam. Like Link, a beam will fly out of Tahsio's sword when he's at full HP)
HP: 20
MP: 20

Attacks:
Jump Attack (Jump ontop of an enemy and stomp 'em. Just like Mario and Luigi. Delivers 5 damage)
Spin Attack (Like Link, Tahsio will spin around with his charged sword. Uses one turn to charge up, and the next turn to delivers 8 damage. Uses 3 MP)
Fireball (Like Mario and Luigi, Tashio throws a fireball at the enemy, only his fireballs are blue to match his color scheme. delivers 4 damage and uses 2 MP. Attack may burn opponent, and is super effective against plant, bug, ice, and metal monsters)

"I'll go next!" said Makar loudly, making his small voice heard above the roaring Godzilla. Using his leaf propellor, he flew high into the air next to the ear of the mammoth beast. Makar takes out his violin and plays a soothing melody, causing Godzilla to fall asleep! (-5 FP for Makar. Godzilla cannot attack).

"Well, I never!" Says Mickey and attacks Yoshi. Yoshi get's angry and his attack is now X2!

Godzilla wakes up, but uses +2 HP doing it.

"Let's go!" Tashio shouted. "Thanks for getting your action phrase into my head, Dad!" Tashio does a jump attack on Godzilla after his sarcastic remark, dealing 5 damage.

"Excellent!" Makar said as he tuned his violin. "He's getting down there!"
Quickly unweilding his propellor, Makar charged at Godzilla, slicing him with the razor sharp...leaves. -_-'
It did 3 points of damage on the savage beast!
Godzilla: 27 HP left.

Godzilla got p***ed and began to attack! His atomic power allows him to heal +10 HP!

Godzilla: 37 HP.

Godzilla used his atomic blast! Everyone in the party takes 6+ Damage, and have been burned!

Mickey: 14
Diddy: 7
Makar: 4
Pistachio: 14
Chef: 26
Yoshi: 11

Current stats:

Mickey: Burned.
Diddy: Burned
Pistachio: Burned
Chef: Burned
Yoshi: Burned, Attack X2.
Makar: Burned

Mickey picks DEFENCE to avoid being hurt by the burn. Now it's Diddy's ( or someone else's ) turn.
