Mickey notices that Shrek was really weak now. He uses his Lighting blast on Shrek alone, doubling it's power.

Everyone believed that this battle was far easier than the last. "Yikes," declared Mickey, "those two numbskulls actually thought that they could take us on alone. Too bad they were outnumbered........and outskilled." They all slapped hands, greeting the new member Link. Before they could celebrate however, Yoshi raised his hand in fear. "Guys, I don't think that battle was for real. It was a warm-up........" Makar asked "Whata ya mean? What's goin' on here? Is something coming?"
"I......I think so. It's.......horrible." Everyone on the team felt the dark energy that was upon them. Clouds formed from above and lightning thundered across the sky. One bolt struck the ground, knocking the team about. It was hard to keep their balance, as the Earth shook with every footstep the "monster" took. He had one wing on the side of his right shoulder. His hair grey, and his aura dark. He went over and picked up the nearly dead Donkey and Shrek. Before King Mickey could say anything, the beast opened his mouth. "You did well, fighting these two. It was far better than what we excpected, considering your power levels are so hopelessly low. It doesn't matter anyway. You're all going to die after making your way through the tower." He began to walk away, but before he could take his leave Mikey yelled, "We?! Who is we? And what of this 'tower'? Tell the truth!!" The demon put down Shrek and Donkey and walked back towards Mickey. His feet melted away the ground with every foot step. "I must punish these two. I must leave." Mickey held up his Keyblade and insisted. "Fight. Or die." The monster drew out a terrible weapon from his body. It too, had a dark aura. "If you insist. I really wasn't looking foward to killing you now, but......" The fight was on.
