You've got to be foolish to mispell "ridiculous" unless you're 5 or below.

What about pronunciation? On MG:TT, Luigi pronounces it (and drags the accents out) "re-dic-U-loose."

That's another mistake a lot of people make: misspelling "misspell".

Trainman, Luigi's Italian. In Italian, (and Spanish) the I sound is pronounced as the EE sound.
