Site Discussion / New forum format?! Eh, Deezer.
« on: December 19, 2002, 08:22:05 PM »
In another thread I asked, "If this forum is from Gamespy could it be upgraded to the one the classicgaming.com is using on
http://www.forumplanet.com/classicgaming/index.asp"

Deezer reply, "I could theoretically set up a forum for TMK at forumplanet.com, but I wouldn't be able to transfer all the posts from this forum to the new one. I'll look into it, seeing as how Gamespy doesn't really support this ASPforum anymore."

What do you think of the forum at http://www.forumplanet.com/classicgaming/index.asp

I am not asking about the people or topics, but about how the forum works.  Would you like it if Deezer used the forumplanet format here even if it would mean losing all our old posts and possibly needing to make new UserNames?  (Assuming he can do it?)

Maybe he could keep this one going for awhile so we can get used to the new one (or deside if we like it better).  Maybe he could even keep this old forum as an archive.

Whatda ya'll thank? Huh?

Video Game Chat / Best/Favorite GameCube Game(s)
« on: December 18, 2002, 12:54:15 AM »
I was wondering what people here thought were the best GCN games.  I think SMS is the best and MP4 is the worst, but that's not really fair since I only have those two.  I have preordered Zelda and am sure that will be my fav when I get it.

Also, CW you really don't need to respond, eveyone know you think StarFox is the best game ever.

Video Game Chat / Deezer: Koji Kondo Music?
« on: December 18, 2002, 12:38:05 AM »
Hey Deez, Here's a few questions for you.

What music did Koji Kondo compose?

Did it really take you 6 years to beat SMB2?

If this forum is from Gamespy could it be  upgraded to the one the classicgaming.com is using on

Video Game Chat / Nintendo.com Fan sites coming soon!

Nintendo.com Fan sites coming soon at:

Maybe Deezer can get TMK on the list.  Only problem is he uses emulators and roms to make screen shots and icons and Nintendo are strongly againt use of their roms.

Mario Chat / Super Mario Sunshine Bugs & Glitches
« on: December 02, 2002, 11:12:34 AM »
I just got SMS this weekend and have already found several bugs in it.

If you get a Sprite out of order, it will appear on the the map shine click screen with ??? over the column.  Although, on the game select (A, B, or C blocks) score screen it will not appear but will be included in the total.  I have got 40 Shines, there are only 39 showing on the score screen, but the total at the bottom is 40.

Also, you can get all the coins in Delfino Plaza twice.  After you get the Shine just get the coins again.  I currently have 212 yellow coins there, and that is without getting the birds and missing a few others.

There are several places you can jump through stuff like the boats at the park, etc.

Ojiisan Deezer, where is the SMS Bugs page?

Video Game Chat / NES / SNES / N64 / GBA on GameCube?
« on: November 27, 2002, 05:00:02 PM »
Nintendo is making the adapter to play Gameboy, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advanced games on the GameCube.

I have a TriStar64 that allows me to play Famicom-NES, SNES, and N64 games on my N64.

Maybe a company like TriStar or better yet Nintendo will make an adapter that will play NES / SNES / N64 / GBA on GameCube.  This could be done like the old Tristar64 and the new GB on GC adapter except with a slot for each type of cart. on each of the Cubes 4 sides.

It is unlikely that nintendo will do it since they are no longer making profit on the old games, but at least we could hope.

Or, at least they could bring back the classic games.  I would love to have all of the Zelda games on one disk.  All the Mario games like on Allstars too.  It would be great if Capcom made a Best of Megaman like Sega did with Sonic.

Game Help / SM64 Coins
« on: November 15, 2002, 10:27:55 PM »
I am going back and replaying all of the Mario games while I save up to get a GC.  I plan to re-solve every level of every Mario game.  Well, not Mario is Missing or Mario Teaches Typing.  Anyway...

I was wondering if anyone has ever got all the coins in Super Mario 64.  I mean the ones that are not in levels.  Like the two under the bridge, the two on each side of the stairs, and all (9 I think) from killing the ghosts, etc.  If so, does anything happen?

I haven't got the two under the bridge yet.  Is is possible to jump/bounce of the wall to get them once the water is lowered?  Can the water be raised again?

Also, has anyone here ever made it to the top of the castle without getting all the stars?  If so, is yoshi there?

Mario Chat / Making a new Mario 2D game
« on: August 27, 2002, 11:29:18 AM »
I am programming a new mario game in DarkBASIC. I want it to be more like smb3, but with yoshi. I have lots of ideas for the game (over 20 kb of text). If you know anything about 2d game programming, have sprites, sounds, music, or backgrounds and want to help with the project or simply give suggestions please email dennisshows@yahoo.com with "Mario 2D" in the subject, or post your reply in this forum.

I fried egg will never hatch a Yoshi!

I thought I might be able to get an advance copy today, but our GameStop only got one NFS.  We do have a lot of displays, but the actual games probablly won't be in until Monday afternoon or Tueday morn.
