You know on Super Mario Land 2, on the Mario zone on the last level (the one made out of Legos) there is an N&B on one of the bricks.
What does this mean/stand for???

No idea. I remember looking at the game credits once trying to figure out if it was any of the game staff.

First thing that came to mind when I saw this topic was Nuts & Bolts.

I have noticed N&B in and on may GameBoy games.  I thing it might have something to do with the original GameBoy.  I found several nonEnglish websites that called the GameBoy games N&B, NB, etc.  Maybe it means something about the GameBoy like B&W means Black and White for TVs, or maybe its similiar to G&W for Game and Watch.

"N&B" in some languages is the same as us using "B&W" for "black and white."

Noir et Blanc (French)

We may have a winner. But would this relate to Japanese in any way?

Hmm. I was searching "Game Boy N&B" and the only place I found N&B was in reference to the display.

I wish I were sun at dusk. ... ... ... ... ......ha ha kidding.

I was thinking maybe it meant something in Japanese. The ampersand "&" is backwards. Maybe that means something. Either that or its a mistake.

*meanwhile*  I was searching for N&B and I found nearly fifty sites in French. One was kind of interesting. It was for GBA it said something like: serial connection a la Dolphin. Anyways, I found that N&B does mean B&W.
