He hasn't done every sport imaginable yet (skateboarding, American football, derby stallions... oh wait, he did that at Yo'ster Isle in SMRPG), but he will.

Has Mario ever driven in a car before (karts don't count)?

I've been waiting for Mario Jai Alai, personally. The thrill of hitting Peach with a ball travelling at 180 mph is too good to pass up.
