Forum Games / Wishing Well
« on: July 08, 2006, 03:30:18 PM »
This is just a little game that popped into my mind. All you do is throw something (anything) into this imaginary wishing well and make a wish of your choice.

I'll start:

*Throws coin*

I wish that the Wii will be released soon.

Here is my story, that tells what it would be like if all the FF members went to the same high school together, and the moderators were the teachers. Enjoy!

Fungi High: Chapter One
In the large country of Forumia, there is a small city named Fungitown. In this small city is a high school. Its name is Fungi High. Many young kids attend this school, but here is the story of one young man who started attending this school, and it changed his life forever. This is how it begins:

“But, Mom! I don’t want to go to another new school!”

These were the words of a young man named Ted Zeplinrochts, who for the fourth time this year had to attend a new school, because of all the times his family had moved this year.

“Too bad,” his mother said, “you are going to Fungi High, and you are going to like it! Act like your strong and proud Zeplinrochts ancestors would want you to act like!”

“Fine,” said the glum Ted, dragging his backpack along the ground as he walked out the door.

He had to walk to his bus stop, which was a few blocks away. He stared at the bus stop where a good four or five other kids stood, waiting for the school bus to arrive. Ted nervously approached, hoping he wouldn’t do something stupid or regrettable. When he came, nobody said much, except a shorter, friendly-looking kid.

“Hi,” he exclaimed, “I’ve never seen you at Fungi High before.”

“Yeah, I just moved here to Fungitown.”

“What’s your name?”

“Oh, sorry. I’m Ted.”

“Okay. I’m Jason, but everybody at Fungi High calls me Nerd Person. It’s kind of an inside joke.”

“I see.”

The bus finally arrived, and it stopped with a slight hiss, and the doors clunked open. The kids filed in. When Ted got in, he looked around for an empty seat, so he wouldn’t have to awkwardly have to sit by someone he didn’t know. But he had too. He just sat in the back next to a girl who was playing a Game Boy.

“Who’re you?” she asked.

“Yeah, I’m Ted. I’m new here.” Ted replied.

“I’m Greta. Greta Gifted. I’m the most gifted girl in the whole school!”

“So…you’re a gifted girl?”

“Right. But, a lot of the times, I bring up pointless discussions!”

The remained of the bus ride, Ted listened Greta Gifted talk about whatever pointless topic she thought up next. Not to mention a lot about Homestar Runner. Ted Zeplinrochts was a pretty happy kid that morning. He was going to a school, and had already made two friends! Think of all the others he could meet. Once the bus stopped he ran out, happy as could be. Unfortunately, he wasn’t looking where he was going and accidentally bumped into what looked like a teacher.  Ted looked up, and this teacher was practically steaming at the ears. Ted could see his angry eyes staring at him with what looked like a hint of wanting immediate disciplinary action.

Nerd Person said, “Uh-oh, Ted. Looks like you’ve angered Principal Deezer!”

General Chat / Somebody copied the FF!

I was looking around at random forums, and I found this humongous Fungi Forum ripoff at The Nintendo Fortress:

This or That?

I also saw a "Pointless Zone" there! I don't know about you, but that is the biggest example of a copycat I've ever seen! They could've at least used a different name...isn't that weird?

Yeah, I was just wondering which Nintendo forums you guys like the most other than this one! And, yes, I know some of them aren't that well known, but these are the best I could find. So? Which one?

General Chat / End of the world
« on: January 28, 2006, 01:49:45 PM »
Sometimes this can be a depressing subject, but I am really curious to see what others think about it.

How do you think the world will end? Here's my views on it:

I don't really think the world is very suddenly going to be engulfed into nothingness. I've heard too many theories that the world is going to end on 2012, or 2037 because of some scripture in Revelations. I think that, like many do, that the world will have a giant devestating flood from global warming, probably not in our lifetime, though. See, I don't think God will be the reason earth will one day end. Because, he said that he would not deliberatley send another life-threatening disaster to earth, after the whole Noah's ark thing in Genesis. But, the earth will probably exist after global warming; for animals that can survive in those conditions. For animals like fish, and underwater species, life will go on, and maybe that will evolve into more sophisticated speices, eons after the humans are gone. But, slowly but surley, the earth will be engulfed by the sun, and those speices will die, unless Ford Prefect will come to save them! ;D

But, what are your views on the end of the world?

General Chat / What've you been reading?
« on: January 21, 2006, 12:41:49 AM »
Write about what you are currently reading (pretty simple):

Right now, I am reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. I always knew a lot of people loved this book, so I decided to pick it up. Now I see why! This book's characters, plot, and pace are perfect. There is so much perfect humor, and I can't seem to put it down. Like I said the characters are so side-splitting, and the plot seems to seep of the pages and around you. Plus I like how obsessed Veet is with ballpoint pens.

So anyways, what are you reading?

Forum Games / The Fellowship of TMK: RPG
« on: January 14, 2006, 07:23:30 PM »
Okay, this is an RPG based on the Fellowship of TMK from "Mario: The Evil Bread". Just say your character's name, species, HP, Magic and attacks. Then add a part to the story or battle. (If you've already specified your character, there is no need to add it again, just add another part to the story...duh).

Name: LZR
Species: Human
HP: 100
Magic: 50
Attacks:
Slash with giant guitar - 10 HP
Power chord - 20 HP (Uses 5 Magic)
Guitar boomerang - 15 HP (Uses 2 Magic)
Skateboard slap - 5 HP

The Fellowship of TMK

Intro

Long ago, before The Great Bread Wars, there was a prophecy. It stated that five heroes would one day meet and revolutionize the world and put an end to the utter confusion and darkness that covered the land. This prophetcy was fuffiled. For, in the mid-days of The Great Bread Wars, when everything was as bloody and violent as they got, five heroes met. The first was a young minstrel from the Fungi Palace, who was just as strong in battle as he was with his guitar. For his name was LZR, and would go down in history, as would a young banana salesman from the same village as the aforementioned one, for his name was Luigi Simpson, and he was just as faithful to friends as he was to getting sugar highs. The third was a rugged pirate toad from the seas, named Blue Toad, who made enemies come to their knees and allies to fight harder, for he was a true liberator. The fourth was a came from the outer reaches of space. He was a leader of a strange planet called Glorbanthia, and he was Glorb himself! He used strange foriegn instruments of torture to kill his enemies, and made quite an image for himself. The final member was Masher, a dragon-slayer from the east. He had amazing mental abilities, and contributed to the team just as much as any others did.

For they all had met during The Great Bread War to tag along and fight the dastardly Breadites. They realized the amazing abilities they had as a team. They joined together to form the Fellowship of TMK, helped each other through the hardest prediciments, which included Pumpernickel the Great's ambush on LZR's fake funeral, a desperate search for some lost sacred objects in the Woods of Sorrow, a search for a lost sword in Temple of the Five, the approach of a back-stabbing frog, and the horrible guarding duties of Queen Sapphira's Palace. By now they were simple known as the Five of the Fellowship, or simply the Five.

But, once the Bread Wars were over, they all had settled down. But, soon after these terrible times, a new conflict had arisen. It was up to the Five to re-unite and save the day. This is their legenedary story...

I was just curious as to which was your favorite to watch. I usually like to watch college football bowls the most, since the Iowa Hawkeyes are my favorite team. If you pick "other" I'm curious to know what it is...so feel free to mention it.

Video Game Chat / Post your Zelda questions here!
« on: January 10, 2006, 06:29:18 PM »
Hello!

Recently, I have been working on a new Zelda site with Khold, called Zeldaphile*, and we're coming pretty far. We have game help, heart piece guides, et cetera, and lately we have been compiling questions for a Zelda mailbag-type-thing from TMK'ers like you (*points to you*). We just need some help, so if you have any questions about Zelda or the new site, please post them here, and they might be added on the Zelda mailbag fairly soon.

Thanks!

*We're not advertising the site, we just need some help with the mailbag. We really appriciate it!

I thought this might be fun to try out...

Here's what you do: go to google, type in your TMK username, and see what comes up first.

What I got for searching Ledzeppelinrocks:
Someone's profile for quizilla, who's username was ledzeppelinrocks, and it's not mine...creepy...

Your turn!

Video Game Chat / Favorite Zelda Game of all Time
« on: January 02, 2006, 01:06:07 PM »
Sorry about all the options, but I figured I shouldn't leave any out just to be fair. So, what is your favorite. Could it be Legend of Zelda, because your a sticler for nostalgia? Could it be OoT because of the sheer expanibility of the already wonderful franchise it brought? Or is it Majora, because of the introduction of that one weird moon? Or The Wind Walker because of its anime-type look? It's your choice.
