Author Topic: New mod selection idea.  (Read 5451 times)

How about this? If one of our mods leave forever we'll need a new mod. So we'll select the member that was here for the most time because that member will know the way in the the way out of the forums. Sounds good?

Erm, time is only a single factor in determining the best member. I mean, a good member needn't be here long, and a veteran can still not be the strongest choice for a mod. Although experience should be a determinant in the new moderator selection, it should not be the sole factor.

Besides, we don't need to replace any forum moderators right now anyways.

THe current status of moderators is fine. Although Dr. Mario is MIA (except for when he made like 4 posts a few weeks ago) the story boards do not require as much monitoring as any other topic does, and we have enough Mods to make up for his loss.

Eh, didn't you just make a thread saying, "MAKE TRAINMAN MOD NOW; HE IS COOL" a second ago, and now you have this off-the-wall idea? Erm, check that thread again, Sadib... the WHOLE thread...

Yeah, well no one exactly likes me, so I won't be getting that mod spot that you seem to want me to get for me, Sadib... sadly...

 If you try hard, and show that you're willing to be a productive member of this community, Mario guy, I'm sure you've got a good shot at it.

 Though, you've given other members a 'head start,' there's no reason you can't 'catch up'.

I'd like to point at the only existing precedent for "mod selection".

Watoad retired and recommended me. Coincidentally enough, Deezer listened. This is probably what would happen if another mod called it quits. I'd probably recommend Black Mage or Luigison.
