Video Game Chat / Re: GlorbWare now open!
« on: August 04, 2006, 01:53:36 PM »
Okay, sure!
Swords in Combat and Water Balloons are still in development,
but
Robo and Pals are out of the beta stage, and just need a few fine-tuning.
I must warn you, Robo and Pals is my first game made, so it may not be up to your standards of games.
Anyway, its a 3P game, so just read the Help file (press F1 after playing).
Its made by GameMaker by the way.
What software are you using?

This should be fun.

ALso, there is a new house I have found on my disc. European Townhouse.
If you would like a preferability with your house, just ask.
Just some things, though.
I don't do mansions. My computer can't run it well.
Trailers are all great by me.
If you have a great house, post it up.

Do not participate if you are avoiding/have these following things:
Odd situations with fellow members.
Complete lack of humor.

There is a bunch of stuff in the sims 2 that will make you look like a fool.

Oh, and Saph, I just have the orignal. I need to up my computer before running any more sims in a household. Five is the maximum on my game.

Anyway, Spah, if you would like to help, go ahead.

Also, everybody, would you like movies, (Which take a long time to load, play, and is really hard on my system), or pixtures with words? I really don't care. I could do both.

Glorb, I would like you to publish some of my upcoming games!

I have Robo and Pals, a futuristic platformer, Swords In Combat a side-scrolling beat 'em up, and Water Ballons, a Bomberman rip-off.

I'm sure GlorbWare will take care of these games, no?

Anyway, my developement team name is
Omega Factor Software
and our slogan?
The Omega To Your Alpha

ANd because you are pretty good at Paintshop-clones, (Which I am not, check out my ridiculous Robo Logo soon), you could do the box art.

Video Game Chat / Re: Video Game Bargains
« on: August 03, 2006, 09:25:44 AM »
Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Power Tennis, and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, for just about 40 dollars total.

My Gamecube for 100$.

The Sims 2 for 45$.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 for 5$.

Civilization III for 5$.

Five Below sells games, like my CivIII, for 5$!
You just can't refund.

Funcoland gives you the worst bargains.
We bought a PS2 controller, which was in semi-good condish, but had a value of 5$ at EBGames and GameStop.

I got Mario Kart 64, Mario Golf, Pokemon Snap, Extreme-G, and Madden 1996 for free.

Yeah. I feel good.

Okay, the last one, I had meant to post more information, but nobody posted their pictures up or PMed them to me. SO, I havew started a kind of new concept.

A bunch of forum members move into a new neighborhood. They don't know who each other is, they just know their name.

There will be as much houses for each three members. So, that means that there will be three-man or woman teams. They will all interact with each other. Because of the new Want & Fear mechanics, you should also post me your aspiration, Fortune, Knowlegde, Family, Romance, Popularity, and your astrological sign.

Once all willing members have entered, I create the sims, take photos, and see if they are satisifed with their simself. If not, than I will do it again.

The following houses are in for building.

Freeman Villa-Modern Avant-Garde Household
Twisted Acres-Nature takes its toll on a wonderful house
Nottle Hill-Normal house with a twist. ;-)
European Townhouse-Small and cosy townhouse.
Geek Dome-Houze With fulla stuff. Kewl stuffz.
LAN Kingdom-House with many Video game consoles.
Creepy Cabin-Cabin surronded by scary trees.
Underground House-Duh.

So, if you want to join, than post up your pix. For sure, I will do it.
I promise.

I've added a few more choices. I wonder why you can't remove your vote? It was done in other polls...
If you would like me to remove all votes, just say yes.

Holy calamity!
That's amazing.
A bacon machine!?!
What next?
A boot vendor?

In terms of entertainment, I meant the fun factor in that game. Some have larger ones than others. Some games aren't made to be "fun", but to see a result. Stuff like brain age. It can be fun in a way, but that's not how it really is.

A very serious poll for sure.
Nintendo is going a different route with its bussiness, focusing on innovative ways of playing games. The sub-question is, does that matter to you.

Graphics-Alot of people like nice graphics, whether nicely drawn sprite or how many pixels are crammed into a guys head. Life-like to cartoony, this is one factor in games.

Performance-if you are the proud owner of a PC Gaming rig, you are very keen to find games that can run well on your PC, or if you are a console gamer, whether there will be any noticable slowdown during the big SFX parts. Another factor. If there's too much lag, the game is deemed unplayable.

Innovataveness (Yes, a real word)-Games are usually rehashes of yesteryears games, with not much originality or groundbreaking aspects to it. That's where Nintendo steps up. Do you want to play a game that you have never done before. Vote here.

Replay Value-The longer the game, the happier we usually are. Side-missions, extra characters, and unlockables are what keeps gamers playing the games released years ago. We don't want to shell out 50 big ones for a game that entertains us the first 30 seconds.

Entertainemnt-The fun factor, do you care about games hwere all you do is blow up zombies one after the after, or do you want a game of where you pilot a plane dodging missles? If you care about your Fun Meter, you have to vote for this.

Price Point-Is this game really worth that 50 big one? Is this game worth more than that Player's Choice 20$ price tag? Vote here if you think so.

Story-Do you want a reason for blowing up that oil tanker? Vote here for yes.

Memorability-Do you want a game that will give you a lupm in your throught, give you thousands of insperations for fan fictions, or keep you awake at night? Vote here for a yes!

Sound/Music-Big Musical Numbers and Great Voice Acting is a must in most RPGs. Play it up!

Familiar Series-Pac-Man, Mario, and all those gaming superstars that you love dearly can be a factor in game picking.

Gore-Blood and decapitations may appeal to you. Large guns and chainsaws may as well.

Puzzling Puzzlers-Games that make you think can be a factor. Whether how to open a door from the other side of a room, to grabbing that key through SOLID BRICK, this is a factor those big brains may enjoy.

Multiplayer-Solo games can be fun, three more friends over is a party!! Choose this if you care about the number of guys you can stuff into a game.

So really guys and gals, what do you really care for in a game?
If you have any more factors you care about in a game, post them up.

Oh, and may I add DDR?

On DDR, I tripped while doing a tough song and hit my head on my end table. That HURT!
But that was a few years ago, of course.

FInd those shortcuts.
Plus, because 150cc has given the karts higher top speeds, the shortcut of cutting the turn in BC is a breeze.
ALso, learn to guess and check. If you think that someone is behind you, throw a shell behind you.
Also, keep a bannana and a shell handy. If a shell is heading straight for you, the little icon will warn you. Just throw the thing back.
Also fine tune your aim. The ability to throw your last green shell at home strech at first place who is 50 yards away will give you a big advantage.

Sometimes, sequels are both good and bad.
If we enjoy it, we want more.
If we didn't, we play something else, and the developers try something new, or milk the cash cow even further to anger fans.

GOOD SEQUELS?
The Sims 2
Super Smash Brothers 2
Super Mario World (I think of it as a sequel to the original SMB)
PotC: DMC
Toy Story 2
Half-Life 2

The list can go on and on, but sometimes, the story just ends in a game or movie, and we just don't neeed another one.

And AbercrombieBaseball, its okay you don't know much of video games outside of Nintendo.
He's just a casual gamer.
No "WHATTUP"s, "[wtd] HOW YOU DO DAT"s, or "I LUV HALO" crunk juice coming from him.
And besides. This is a Nintendo forum.
Smile, will ya?

We need what sims in The Sims 2 have.
An Elixer Of Life!
To have just a few more days of youth...
Plus, the Gene-Bender 2000 must be an excellent idea for an invention, shown in my fiction Low Cut Genes.
And we need GOOD VR.
Like, when we move, the people move.

I dunno.
I'm running outta ideas.
