Ness opened the present. Inside the present, there is a hamburger! Ness takes it.
Some time later...
Ness ate the Hamburger! 500 HP of mortal damage to Ness! Ness got hurt and collapsed...
Ness! Looks like you're allergic to mustard. So how about giving it another shot?

Can that really happen?! If so, I guess the game is more random than I thought! O_o

Oh yes. Long fingernails are surprisingly good for defending against big bossy sisters. ...I wonder if my oldest sister still has that scar?

Can't say I have. The only cheats I really used were for the eggs, ice key, and unlimited air. But if I decide to sell the game, I'll look into that first.

Read a few pages back. I had the same trouble too. It helps if you use a Pokemon that has either Yawn, Hypnosis or any type of attack that puts him to sleep. Though even with that handicap, he still manages to escape the balls. Best thing to do is stock up on Ultra Balls and just hope for the best.

Whoops. I didn't see that. I was kinda gone for half a year after all. But hey. I got the blasted thing now. What I did was have Genger use Hypnosis on it. The fact that it's a ghost-type also makes Take Down do diddly squat, thus the Beldum couldn't hurt itself. It still took a few balls, but I eventually got it.

I'll just let the following quote do the talking...

boyfriend: (after buying both versions) Okay, here's the ultimate question. Who gets what version?
me: Well, you said you wanted Diamond and I'm cool with Pearl. I think the bigger question is...what starter are you picking?

That's right. My boyfriend got the game for me. I'm such a lucky chick.

I can't catch a dang Beldum in Pokémon Pearl! Seriously. I get them down to 1HP (or very close to it), put them to sleep and Hurl Dusk Balls at them since it is nighttime. But it isn't working! I swear I can hear Nintendo and Game Freak laughing at me every time one gets out of a ball, though perhaps it is mearly the Pokémon's cry. But for goodness sake, I had an easier time with the legendary Pokémon such as Giratina which only took me three tries to get. Plus the fact that the only move it has is Take Down which has recoil sure doesn't help. What the crap?!

OMIGOSH! My secret has been revealed! And people still read that thing?!
But yeah. I used to be really good at the surfing game back in the day...

Okay. I'll bite. It's not like I'm doing anything right now except for maybe playing Pokémon Pearl.

Play Pokémon Pearl just like I have been everyday since my boyfriend got the game for me. I should probably track down the ones that are only in Pearl and trade them over to him (he has Diamond).

Really liking the Luigi one. Seeing the cute little guy get ticked off is always funny. No exceptions. D.K.'s also made me laugh.

Ah, this reminds me of when I was about 7. My grandmother would sew Mario pictures on my shirts and pajamas. They had this odd, yet cute charm to them.

I prefer Attacks myself. Perfecting and advancing them is satisfying and fun to watch. And even if you mess up, it's good for a laugh. Items? Too repetitive and boring.

Yes, I have finished both games. In SS, both brothers are level 99 and Luigi is so powerful that the Time Bob-omb at the and of the Bowletta batlle doesn't knock him out. In PiT, not only are my characters at level 100, but I'm the first person on GameFAQs to pull off the feat.

You know what? I thought of a new one. And I can't believe I never mentioned this earliar.

Anyone that's beaten Banjo-Kazooie (or at least gotten close to it) should know what a death trap Rusty Bucket Bay is. There's boxes of TNT that chase you, oily water that is very easy to drown in, and all sorts of nasty things. But the absolute worse is the engine room.

It's bad enough just going through it. But the objective here is to navigate the area, hit two buttons and hightail it back out and get into the propeller at the back of the ship before they restart. One misstep in the engine room will cause you to fall into what I think is a pool of acid which results in instant death. And if you don't get to the propeller fast enough or you do get in there in time, get can't get back out, another instant death. I know it's an E rated game, but I'm sure that poor Banjo is getting hacked to bits by that thing.

At least you didn't get NES Hand-Desctruction, wherein the NES controller digs into your hands and gives you cramps while simultaneously causing you carpal-tunnel syndrome.

NES Hand-Destruction, eh? I never heard of that one. I shall have to add that to the list of gaming injuries which includes Mario Kart Thumb, Virtual Headache and the dreaded Mario Party Palm. Thanks Glorb.

And I completely forgot about the CD-i Zeldas. That does sound rather unorthodox.

I'm afraid I have no plans to do so. It would seem that after my three year or so "insane period" ended, I ran out of ideas for it.
