It's a beautiful series of computer games. Sure, the first four games had extremely inferior graphics, but that's why it was so charming.
The 7th game is probably the best, and also the last game considered in continuity since the final game was vastly different (despite being worked on by the same person). Kings Quest VII seemed to be set up like a Disney Princess movie, complete with a musical style opening:

Well, the King had a family, of which all four members each went on a daring adventure (including the Queen, as seen in the above video). The King was the star of KQI, KQII & KQV. His son was the star of KQIII & KQVI. His Daughter was the star of KQIV, and one of the stars of KQVII. His wife only had a starring role as one of the stars of KQVII.
Some of you may have heard of Kings Quest V on NES. We should forget that ever happened because KQV was a beautiful masterpiece on PC, but horrendously tarnished on NES. Here's the PC intro
