Does anyone actually know? All I know is that if they made a whole entire game with wall jumping, I would buy it. It's way under-used it almost all Mario games.
Maybe you enjoy seeing fat plumbers bounce off walls?

Choji Mario isn't fat, he's pleasingly plump!

Maybe I enjoy defying the laws of gravity in a video game?

Sounds like you basically answered your own question.
I'm a horrible person.

Who doesn't like doing some kung-fu matrix stuff? Honestly.

Also, you all forgot to mention that SM64DS has the "easified" wall jump from Sunshine.
Fangirling over Luigi since 1999.

It does?  I honestly don't remember, it's been quite a while since I've played SM64DS.

Yes. It does.
That was a joke.

Wait, does this apply to real life as well? I mean, it's definitely cool in games and all, but I get a kick (no pun intended... aw, what the heck. Sure.) out of doing it in real life when I get the chance. Me and my friends used to try to wall-run on a rally wall at the tennis court when we'd go down to the park in sixth/seventh grade. And then some old dude across the road would periodically tell us to knock it off (no, wait, I think it was leaning on the net that ticked him off...).

A friend of mine can run about 3-4 steps on a wall before he's back on the ground.

I can run about 2- 2 1/2 steps up the wall. Walljumping: easy.

Play Super Metriod and tell that to me.
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

I can climb up to ceiling level by pushing off both walls with my hands/feet. Or, at least, I could--I'm a lot taller, heavier, and probably have dirtier feet than I used to, so who knows.

I'd be interested in finding out which wall jump everyone finds the most satisfying.  Some people raised complaints over the "difficulty" of wall jumping in SM64, but I find the possibility of failure makes a successful wall jump all the more delicious.

So, to be honest, SM64 has the best wall jump--to me at least.

Also, Phelps just got another gold medal in 400 meter medley... I didn't know there was a medley.
Today's actually... nobody's birthday!  Quick, hurry up and make a baby!
