Aw, heck, ShadowBrain has a point.  This could be an excellent movie.
Well, I actually meant that (on average) the better the game, the worse the movie.

Turtlekid1, you used the past tense in every post up to your last. You can't judge a 30-year old game as if it came out today. Asteroids was one of the most important, most popular, and most fun arcade games of all time.

And it's still fun in a simple way.

I can and will judge it as if it came out today if it's having a movie made about it before games that deserve a film adaptation more (or for that matter, games that could even have a plausible story and characters in a film adaptation).

It would be like making a movie based on Pong.
