Just wondering. I don't hate Sega or Sonic (why else would I use Sonic's name as a mixture for my username), of coarse, but I was just wondering. After all, if theres Microsoft and Sony haters, theres bound to be Sega haters as well.

Not me.
I grew up with the old Sega systems and Sonic games.  Man, I dug into Sonic 1 like nothing else.

My family's first game system was a Sega Genesis.  I'd love watching my older brothers play it.  My youngest older brother recently got the ROMS for all three Sonics, and the 3-D one.

I personally was never into Sonic that much. I mean, I've played the Sonic games and still liked them, but I never really got into them. The big thing that deterred me from Sonic is that his older games (Genesis time period) gave Sonic ridiculously high inertia. That is, it was very hard to get Sonic to change directions or stop when precision platforming was needed. That is, when you compare them to the Mario games I practically grew up with. Also as a little child, I was a big fan of Nintendo Power, and back then, Sega was Nintendo's biggest rival and NP often made speaking of Sonic and the Sega franchise blasphemous. So, I followed that lead and stuck with Mario.

Mario beats Sonic for me. But I still enjoy Sonic like crazy. Must. Remove. Face. From. Sonic Heroes.

*snaps Sonic out of it*

Sonic is great. I used to play it at my friend's house all the time because those were the only good games he had (apart from SMB and Kirby's Adventure).
