Video Game Chat / What's Next?

I've been thinking to myself. If Nintendo creates another portable after the DS and Lite, how can it be better than those previous portables? It just seems impossible to make a cooler and better portable. I know, we'd all love to have pizza machines and muffin holders with the next portable, but we have to think on realistic terms. What can Nintendo improve? Perhaps built-in cell phones? Organizers? What do you think?

I am asking the Fungi Forums to help me with a decision. It's whether or not I should sell my original DS and use the money (along with some of my own) to buy a DS Lite. I'm really leaning towards it, as the Lite seems twenty times better than the original DS, but I wanted to ask what everyone else thinks. So, what should I do?

General Chat / Most Needed Inventions of the World Today

I was mowing the lawn yesterday, and I was thinking to myself, Man, this really stinks. Why isn't there an electric programmable computer lawn mower to do this for me? Then, there's always that time when you can't find something valuable that was lost, and you wish for those GPS X-ray-vision goggles that would lead you right to it. So, what inventions do you need most to guide and help you in this world of today?

Mario Chat / Mario Pinball Land Manual Errors

I was looking through the Mario Pinball Land manual/instruction booklet for no reason at all and came across a big translation-related (I think) error. I looked through the errata TMK page and did not see the game on it at all, so I decided to list it here. On page 25, the enemy description of the Koopa says: "Hit Koopas once to flip them over. If you them him again to knock 'em out!" Based on the screwy word ordering, I'd guess this is a translation-related error from Japanese to English. Upon further inspection, there is a translational error on pages 7 and 8. P.7 says "...a special "Pinballer" squeezes you into ball..." instead of a ball, and P.8 says "If you want to delete your saved data, press and hold SELECT, and  the A Button, B Button, L Button, and R Button simultaneously..." instead of ...hold SELECT, and press...etc. On P.11, a sentence is missing an "s" when it says "Press the L and R Button simultaneously..." There are many, many more. I hope I'm not making an idiot out of myself by posting this if it's on TMK.

I also find it weird that at the bottom of page 25, it shows Pinball Mario confusing a snowman as he whooshes past, and the snowman isn't listed as an enemy.

'Ello everyone. I decided that we should create a magazine sort of thing to keep track of all of the things going on in our world, The Mushroom Kingdom's world (the site and the real thing), and about any members. You should even write your replies in a magazine/ newspaper form, if you want to be creative. If you wish, and if the rules allow it, you can even write funny, humorous, and non-degrading things about other members, like "Mr.Melee Marries Turtle" or "Bird Person is Actually a Duck." (sort of like The National Enquirer). Please have fun with this and don't make it get out of hand by writing too many stories or bad, insultive things about other members. This is meant to be a fun topic and a serious topic. Good luck and start the presses!

What kind of things amuse you? Are you the person that laughs at a good joke? Or are you the hyperactive happy person who laughs at anything, such as waffles? Or possibly you're the creepy person who believes laughing is obsolete? Either way, just tell everyone what things actually make you crack a smile and chuckle.

For me, it's good music and weirdness (A.K.A. stuff me and my other friends only get).

Mario Chat / MKDS Error

I don't know if this is of any importance, but I found a pretty noticeable error in the MKDS Instruction Booklet. On Page 09, where it's talking about mini-turbos, look at where the black info. box is. It reads: "Releas "R" to perfprm a mini-turbo." Of course, it should be "perform," not "perfprm." If this topic is not useful, please close and/or delete it.

Site Discussion / Log-on Troubles

I've had this trouble ever since the new forums came. Once I enter my name & pass. in the top spaces (its the one that lets you log in forever), a 2nd log-in thing comes up saying my pass. is wrong, when I KNOW its right. What's the problem and is there a way to fix it?
