It's understandable that you'd be upset after all that.  If you find out that she did contract HIV, try not to blame yourself.  In a story filled with questionable decisions, you come out looking pretty clean.  Don't beat yourself up, and try not to be mad at Ashley, either.  If she did contact HIV, she'll probably need emotional support from her friends.  You have my sympathy.

I just received a used Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick I ordered off eBay (for a fantastic price).  It worked wonderfully except for the hat, which wouldn't register three of its eight directions (up-right, right and down-right).  I took out my trusty screw-driver, opened up the joystick casing, and... I fixed the hat!  I really had no clue what to expect when I opened up the case but I fiddled around and now the hat works!

I also got a blister on the palm of my hand from games on the N64 that required you to rotate the control stick. An example is from Mario Party.

Lots of people (myself included) got blisters from Mario Party.  Nintendo even released a fingerless glove for people to wear for the original Mario Party in response to customer complaints.  They gave them out free to people who sent in receipts for the original Mario Party.  I never got one (who keeps the receipt?) but I saw the offer on the news.

But some things in real life are illogical too.  What's up with the wave/particle dual nature of light and matter?  It makes no sense.

I don't care about immigration.  Maybe I should care, but I haven't studied the issue enough to determine whether or not the issue is actually important.  I don't care enough to do the research.

US version all the way.  I'm not influenced by nostalgia becuase I was introduced to both games at the same time (Super Mario All Stars) and SMB2J was good but SMB2US was better.

It's not treason because it's not illegal.  That's the reason for this debate.  Courts have ruled that flag-burning is symbolic speech protected by the first ammendment, so no law against flag-burning can be enforced.  Some people are trying to ammend the Constitution to outlaw flag-burning (except possibly during flag retiring ceremonies).

Unless you get your electricity from a clean renewable source (and kudos if you do), how is electricity better than gas?

I use the ROB-LGS, but I drive it with Bowser.  After you unlock all the karts, is there any reason not to use Bowser all the time?  As far as I can tell, the only thing affected by the driver is weight, and I don't know of any reason to want a light cart.  So I always use Bowser, the heaviest driver.

I'm personally more concerned about the environmental effects (if any) of burning the paint within the US flag than I am about the offensive nature of flag burning.  Outlawing flag burning to protect a symbol of freedom is ridiculous.  The symbol of freedom is of trivial importance compared to the freedom itself.  You can hate all or part of America and still choose to be a US citizen if you hate all other countries more.  In the words of Winston Churchill:  "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried."  Technically the US is a Republic, not a Democracy, but you get the point.
