Mario Chat / Re: M rated Mario games? think their should some?
« on: July 14, 2005, 05:59:36 PM »
Mario in Mortal Kombat?  Yes, it would be "radical", but I doubt many would like it.  There's more mature things, and then there are things that would never happen...Though, I never expected to see Mario playing basketball...I don't know what to think anymore...

General Chat / Re: Do you got a girlfriend?
« on: June 24, 2005, 07:32:33 PM »
I was going to ask a girl in my class out, but then I thought "With a girlfriend, I'll have less time to sit on my couch scratching myself, playing Mario."  And so, here I am, without a girlfriend.

Mario Chat / Re: Yoshi's Harvest
« on: June 24, 2005, 10:35:14 AM »
Pretty good game, but I do have a few suggestions.  Firstly, I think that Yoshi should be shorter, or make it so he can get the fruit even if it does pass his mouth; maybe until the fruit gets to his arms, because even if I was in the middle of the area, I couldn't get to the the sides fast enough.  Also, I found it difficult to continue playing, because there were too many bad fruits, and only  few good ones.  Even if I never hit a bad one, I ended up starving.  But I think it is a very good game overall.

I saw that a while ago, my cousin sent it to me.  It's really cool, though it took me a while to figure out that it was the Tetris song.

Mario Chat / Re: Mario in another T game?
« on: June 14, 2005, 09:42:42 PM »
I'm not saying Mario should turn into Big Pimp, but I don't want things to to be all rainbows and bunnies.  You all keep taking whacks at Mortal Kombat, but you have to know that it is a fighting game that is made just for the reason of being over the top.

I would like to know, if this is how you feel about games, what do you watch on TV?  Quite a few shows, I might even say most, either have violence, sex, or both.

Okay, as far as the original question goes, as long as Mario stays light hearted and fun, I won't mind a T rated game, every so often.

>video games are far less serious than real life

Yes they are.  They should be enjoyable.  Video games are just that, Games.  I wouldn't find it fun to play a game that included living your daily, regular life (excluding The Sims).  I want to be able to experience things that would be completly impossible normally.  I realize some things nobody should want to do, but, okay, I am running out of ways to get my point across without sounding too repetative...

What material are you thinking of?  killing someone?  Yeah, its not good to ACTUALLY do that, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy a game with something like it.  what do you think happens to the Goombas when you jump on them, or when Mario is hit by an enemy?

Does it really matter if the game is rated T?  If its a good game, the rating doesn't matter.  Sorry if I'm going on about nothing, but too many people are putting too much of an emphasis on the rating of a game.  I love my 007 games, and they aren't E.

General Chat / Re: What do YOU collect?
« on: June 05, 2005, 09:19:41 PM »
Collecting things was what let me get my GBA.  I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh, and I ordered the GBA game from Japan just to get the 3 God cards.  I went to a tournament, and some kid traded me 1 of them for his Gameboy advance and his Super mario advance game.

I also collect prescription drug pens, but thats about the only serious collecting I do.

Mario Chat / Re: A simple question about Yoshi
« on: June 05, 2005, 08:58:39 PM »
Maybe, and this is a big maybe, his saddle/shell thing is really a big nose plug.  Yoshi might not be able to control not breathing through his nose underwater after he matures, so he gets a suction cup like cover.  AND THAT is why he melts in SMS, cause Mario is sitting on it, he inhales water, and when he breaths the water, he just moves really fast.  That would also explain why you can't find him after he jumps into the waterfall in SM64.

For about 5 hours now I have had the Pop-eye song in my head...and all I know of it is "Pop-eye the sailor man," and the end "I'm Pop-Eye the Sailor Man! Toot-Toot!"
